What will happen today???

Comments (56)

So Rennes are going to answer us regards M'bia today. The Chelsea board are going to discuss our offer for SWP today, and Riera was given the night off in Spain last night to discuss the offers on the table for him.

Will we see the yellow breaking news box on the Official Siite today??? Course not... but like an idiot I have become excited on who we might sign again and I'll be checking every so often.

So frustrating isnt it. I think the best option is to hibernate until the window closes then hopefully we will be pleasantly suprised. I was nearly sacked for abusing the internet in work the other day. All we can do is wait up unil the window closes as that's the time we know where we stand.

I’m moving tomorrow and will not have the internet till the 1st Sept.

I’m trying to work out if that is a blessing or a curse. I’m wasting my life checking the net every second but at least when I have the net I know nothing is happening what will the wondering do to me?

This is what it says on his Wikipedia entry
SEE RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM

Jacobsen was one of several FCK players who gathered international attention in FCK’s UEFA Champions League games, and as he looked to leave the club on a free transfer in June 2007, he was rumoured to be sold in the 2006 winter transfer window. A number of European clubs were reportedly interested in buying him, among them Everton FC, Paris SG and his former club Hamburger SV. In December 2006, Jacobsen agreed with FCK to stay at the club until his contract ran out, helping the club defend the Superliga championship,[1] and days later he signed a contract with German club 1. FC Nuremberg starting from July 2007. His stay with the German club was troubled because of injuries, and the club also failed to stay in the German Bundesliga. He therefore requested to leave and it was granted by the club in late June 2008[2]. He has now agreed personal terms with Everton F.C.

Lars Jacobsen has signed for Everton according to Onside.dk. The Dane flew to Merseyside for talks today and the latest bulletin on the website suggests that the move is official and that he will make a free transfer to Goodison after his Nuremberg contract expired.Lars Jacobsen looks set to seal a dream move to Everton within the next twenty-four hours. The Danish international is in talks with Goodison officials and an agreement looks set to be reached.

Onside.dk claim the right back is currently in England, even going as far to say his mobile network suggests so!

Jacobsen’s agent, Karsten Aabrink said; "I have no comments to Lars Jacobsen’s situation, other than that I expect a resolution by tomorrow."

The Danish international, currently plying his trade at Nuremberg, would cost the Blues nothing as his contract at the German club has expired

Official: Lars J. for Everton
After prolonged exploratory transfermarkedet, it is now official: Landsholdets right back, Lars Jacobsen, has signed a 1-year contract with Everton in the English Premier League.
Both Lars and I are very happy that we had so much ice in the stomach, we waited for the right offer came up. Since Lars left Nuremberg, there have been many interested clubs from both France, Spain and England.

I’m getting less excited than you because as some of the lads have already said that means that Neville will revert to MF!!!

On the other hand he is apparently injury prone so I guess that will only be for a few games.

I dont know why I’m getting so cynical though only 6 more signings to go and at least we’ve made a start.

You wonder why we still moan.....I must admit I’d forgotten just how desperately wee need another right back, next it’ll be another centre back followed by a left back. Maybe Moyes is strengthening the already strong positions first just to tease us (as if we need more suspense) leading up to a central midfielder on deadline day.

Given our history on medicals, unless we let expectations drop there as well, then I do struggle to see how we’ll get this guy and the other "5 or 6".

I do really appreciate what people are saying in regards to people complaining straight after hearing good news... and though we’re in dire need of bodles... I’m finding it very hard to be excited about this guy. It is a start though... let’s see about M’Bia and SWP - they arrive, well, then I for one will be one excited blue.

Sammy Kuffour linked now?
He was on trial with Sunderland for a week and Keane opted not to sign him. Given their obvious defensive issues in conceding 7 at Goodison last season, is it wise to be looking at picking up a defender they have opted not to sign?
Either he’s not up to it anymore or he’s looking for too much cash... either way, do we need another defender???
Worried.

I would bet a months wages that there are 20 right backs in the Football League better than this tosser whose hardly kicked a ball in recent seasons. If Moyes was out to sign a second Shandy Andy,he’s got one and i say that after reading of his exploits whilst working in Hamburg.
How the hell he could/would/should ever prefer this piss pot to Rodwell or Gosling is totally beyond me.

WHERE IS EVEN ONE TOP QUALITY PLAYER..this guy has played just over 50 games in SEVEN years...DM has been tracking him for 18 months.. My arse.. we may as well go for a Yozzer Hughes..How you clowns can get excited over signing another one year bench warmer beats me!!

He's an international player with Champions League experience and can provide good cover at the very least - what else is it you guys want?
Let's see if he's better than Hibbo?

He's also just waiting for a blood test result due tomorrow - so unless there has been exchange of bodily fluids with someone dodgy, he will be fine and be our first signing. So get used to it, back him 100%, give him a chance and welcome him to the family.

Moyes has said he does not want "mid-level" Premier League players, let's hope the the board don't take that to mean that they should aquire players not good enough for top-flight football.
Heavan forbid!
