Clear as mud!

Does anybody believe that theatrical Bill has left it until the eleventh hour, and let us lose two out of three games in the process, in order to sign the "biggie" and create a huge tide of "hurrah we've done it now let's go and qualify for the CL"?

Does anyone believe that "there's been a considerable transfer fund available for the manager for several months".... because, if that's the case then it must be true that David Moyes has refused to spend it, refused to budge an inch in the players he wanted to sign, therefore leaving the club (and himself let's not forget) embarrassed into shopping in the Oxfam version of the transfer window.

Here's the man who wanted to take us to the next level, break the Sky four monopoly, and bring in the players to do that, by seeking freebies, has-beens, and crocks... just to prove a point? It seems clear to me that it's a simple case of either "Dithering Dave" or "poor and penniless"... which do you believe?

As the title says, "it's as clear as mud".

I’d like to believe we’re going to sign a "biggie" but i can’t see it happening now. I think there has been limited money available, but not enough for Davey to get his top class players in.
And I hope to god we’re not poor and penniless.

Well at least Saha passed his medical, so he’s now officially an Everton player.

Oh and we’re not getting Obinna, as he was refused a work permit, which is where BK and Davey have been all morning.

Who can believe BK’s ill now?

Brian. I’d go with the poor and penniless. We all know Moyes has an annoying habit of dithering, but on this ocassion, the blame lies entirely with Kenwright and his failure to find proper investment. The longer he remains in charge of the club, the closer we will get to the football wilderness that is DK and the championship (coca cola) league or whatever it is called these days.

If they dont sign a PROPER player before midnight Im boycotting Goodison to show my protest. It wont have much affect as too many blue tinted idiots will put up with anything, but I believe football is an entertainment and Im not paying to watch dross. We are an embarrassment and a laughing stock..they continually contradict themselves..there is money..there isn’t..we want quality..we want numbers !! To be linked with Smith and Larson at 36 is a joke plus the horde of loans and freebies are an insult. These are not young unknown finds like the one’s Wenger brings to Arsenal..Clichy, Toure and Fabregas cost well under one million between them.We have no scouts who can find anyone and we waste money on the likes of Beattie and then talk QUALITY...humbug..Im off !! I completely agree with the article and endorse every word.

We really should wait until midnight for the inquest. We can only hope that there is enough life left in the body to rule out foul play. Moyes says that things might get worse before they get better - jeze, we’re lucky enough to have 3 points (ok so we should have had one against Bburn and why didn’t a penalty take us back to 2-1 on Saturday ?? !!!). This is the mire - we are in it.

Thanks TW - football on TV on Saturday told me that TVE ? had the match on. Switched on the Spanish ’BBC’ channel (2) and there was the Goodison match live. Hooray. Then we went one down.

In case others in Spain haven’t picked this up, TVE seem to have expanded their EPL coverage this season.

Yeah, when I read that "David Moyes and Bill Kenwright were part of a club contingent that attended an appeal hearing in London on Monday" for the Obinna work permit, my first thoughts were that this was the biggie that they were trying to pull off, is this kid rated that highly that they thought it would appease the moaning masses ?

My bet’s on 1 more signing before the end of the day, whoever it may be, I hope some loans are going to be paid off if we don’t see Moutinho
