The Mail Bag
Joey Barton?

According to Sky Sports News, a club that doesn't want to be named is in negotiation with Joey Barton. Seeing as how we've been sniffing around Newcastle for smith and rumoured to be in for Owen and desperately short in midfield, I guess that's us then.
As for other signings, I wonder if Obinna was heading to Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd if he would have got his work permit? Seems strange that they can sign foreign youngsters without all this hassle.

Now It's crunch time to get those three or four to make up that "Magnificent Seven" Moyes was on about; so far we have signed no other players, had a work permit rejected for one of our more exciting targets (Obinna) and Moutinho is playing for Sporting Lisbon tonight. Such is the drama (or comedy whichever way you want to look at it) of Everton FC that according to the Daily Mail Website we are going To give Jailbird Joey Barton a chance to ressurect his career.
Desperate times indeed.... ....Watch This Space.....
As for Barton, I will seriously consider handing my season ticket back if he signs.
Sky Sports: "Everton fail in a loan move for Marouane Fellaini" Fuckin' joke of a football club, end of.
Why would any club loan out their best midfielder? Spurs failed in an £8 mill bid last week, fuckin' laffin' stock.
But as always with Everton, around every corner is a good hard kick up the arse. It's shite so it is. So I'm thinking about throwing my jersey out and giving up because what is the point. If we sign that scumbag Barton I will definitly go ahead with the above plan.
Anyone else actually feel like giving up on supporting them??? Nothing but depression it brings.

Oops forgot the signing of an injured Anthony Gardner as cover for Alan Stubbs! Maybe it is us then!
