Sue the buggers!

If I bought a washing machine and found later that it could not wash clothes clean, then I would take it back to the supplier and ask for a refund.... stating that the item was not of merchantable quality.
A refrigerator that could not stop frozen food going off.... back to the supplier..... refund demand..... not of merchantable quality.
A car that could not travel faster than 30 mph.... back to the supplier... refund demand... not of merchantable quality.
If I bought a season ticket for a Premier League team and was later told by the Manager who worked for the supplier that the team could not win a game... back to the supplier... refund demand... not of merchantable quality.
Could some legal eagle out there tell me why Everton can refuse a refund when Currys and Peoples would have to comply with trading standards legislation? It seems to me that the only thing that is keeping Goodison largely filled is that so many fans have locked themselves into a year-long subscription. If you have had enough... demand a refund!

I’m no legal expert, but as a season ticket holder I don’t remember seeing anything in the terms and conditions of my ticket purchase that states the club guarentees to win games or spend x million pounds on bringing in new players.
I am a supporter of Everton Football club and am frustrated at the start of the season and lack of new quality players, but I will continue to support the club and the players who represent Everton.
I’m with you Brian - furious that I effectively have no way of showing this appalling club my disgust - and the fact that they have taken best part of a grand off me for season tickets. Even with my 46 year addiction had I known in advance that the talk of signings was barefaced lies they wouldn’t have got a penny off me.
Brian - I?m no legal eagle but used to train managers for a large well known company and have a fair grasp of consumer protection legislation.
With this kind of thing you?ll find that it is incumbant on the purchaser to establish Terms & Conditions before purchase. You?ll probably find them covered in the small print as to circumstances under which refunds will be issued. If you challenged them they?d argue that by purchasing the tickets you signed up to their terms.
I?ve been a bit of a ?Doom & gloomer? all summer & suspected the worst so luckily did not buy season tickets for me and my daughter. She was upset but is beginning to see the wisdom of waiting, rather than paying upfront and and ? Watching this space?. I?m so pissed off that I doubt they?ll be getting much of that £1000 in us attending individual games.
As an aside on the legal front, I heard Brum were sued recently for charging away fans more than home fans in the same stand at St Andrews. If that be the case, does anyone believe that Baggies fans were paying £42 per ticket the other weekend, and also unduring the same underhanded backward behaviour by WBA staff at half time the likes of which belongs back in the 70’ and 80’s, Can the club stand up for us? Who’s running the show anyway?? Ah.. that’d be why..
Been to one game with my son and wont be going anymore. Whilst I support Everton, something is badly wrong with the club and until it is sorted out I will be sticking with Sky Sports. Even a ’rabbit out the hat’ will not be enough as the problems appear to be deep rooted and mainly financial.
As said on here above, there’s no guarantee of winning games, or spending money on players at all.
BOYCOTT one home game that will shake them up and show the disgust that is felt by the diehard fans who deserve much better treatment..ignore them and try to shame them for the brazen lies that we have had to endure...football is important to evertonians and last seasons finishing place should have been the springboard for this season..it was obvious to EVERYONE who could see that the team was worn out long before the end of last season, we needed strengthening and this stupid board let the squad be weakened..this is an act of criminal negligence and heads should definitely roll..We have more backroom staff than players.Steve Round was appointed BEFORE we had any signings of players. Why was DM in the USA..he should have been here sorting his transfer targets out and planning.Surely Round could have looked after that trip.It probably cost more for that trip than has been spent on new players..Diabolical mismanagement.
I have demanded a refund and my request was flatley refused....I was told by the club’s Head of PR & External Affairs ( whatever the fuck that is !!)...quote " I HAVE NO INTEREST IN ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY..THAT CLEAR "...unquote
....and I stll have the email to prove it !!
Alan Willo........grow up and mind your mouth!
