Hunt bid rejected

We've bid £3.5 million for player generally known to be valued at around £6 million. What do these people running the club take us for.

I don't expect anyone else today.
We have a better team than last year and I loved last year. I'd love better new players but I know the sitiation and know we are skint unless we sort a new stadium. I think we are better than many say and have injuries that will end soon. If Kirky goes ahead then watch, someone may then buy the club. Until then, this is how we are and we either tear our own club apart or cheer from the fucking rafters.
I will do the latter because I have no choice.... I am a blue no matter ....again..... no matter... what.
Why why why????
I only want one player, I think we all do..
I would just get the hopes down now if you had any. All I am betting on is Alan Smith still and that will be it. I will also give it a fortnight before Moyes walks.
£3.5M bid for Hunt what a joke he is not worth half that anyway!!!
We need a top class holding midfielder. M?bia would have been the one, but no rumours on that one...
What is going on at this club? From Moutinho to Hunt, a gulf in class I would say. The club is totally mismanaged at boardroom level and there must be something seriously wrong with the club?s scouting system. Other clubs below us seem to be signing quality players at the lower end of transfer fees, why can?t we? I was looking forward to this season, now I?ve got no hope whatsoever. I work in Manchester and they have been giving me stick all week for us signing Saha. Apparently he strained his wrist when signing the contract.
According to Sky Sports News (how many posts in this country today have begun with ?According to...?) we?re in for Fellaini. Isn?t he cup-tied after playing in the Champs League qualifier?

Just said on Skysports that 5 million will get Hunt. Also were close to closing the deal for Fellini from Standard Liege. Two midfielders, be happy with that.
Closing in on a deal for Feillani... doubt it!
SSN knows how to keep people watching, last time it was Riquelme....
I can’t believe good players going to lesser clubs than us, whats happened. We where 5th last year, semi-finals of a cup and a good run in the Europe and yet clubs who nearly got relegated, did bugger all are finding it easy to buy these players
We don't have the money and we're putting stupid bids in for players which we know will be rejected.... Who are the club kidding? It's pathetic and it's making this great club look a joke.
What sort of player is Hunt lads? Not seen much of him. Will he improve us?
Crikey, I’ll take Basil Brush at the moment...sure he played in midfield once..
To be fair to Davey, he knows Hunt is an average player at best, and in all honesty if we got him for 3.5m I would have been happy. If he pays anywhere near 6 for someone like that I would just feel ripped off.
Ged, the problem I have, is that we were told by Ross and BK that the Kirkby outcome would have no bearing on transfer funds, as they were already in place. We were told by BK to "watch this space " and there would be quality players coming into the club. Now, you couldn’t say that the players who have arrived are quality, and were any better than the players we sold, so, how does that make us a better team than last season? Also, the squad is smaller than last season. If we are skint, why don’t they just come out and tell us, if they said not to expect any big signings, we would still have a go at them a bit,but at least we would know were we stood. All BK seems to do is lie, fucking lie all the time, and I for one am sick of of it. What makes it worse, is that the bullshitter gets away with it, because there are fans out there who won’t have a bad word said against the man, just because he is a ’ true blue ’ .
Ged I am sorry mate but how do we have a better team than last year?
We lost AJ,Cars,Manny,Faddy all first team regulars, plus Gravesen and oue experienced reserve keeper both the latter were shite but I would of had them in our squad last saturday and that is saying something and in turn we have bought a crock from relegated Nuremberg, an Equadorian whom our manager has only seen on Dvd and another crock who according to Lou Macari and other manc sources think he is not too keen on football, I do think he is worth the gamble but that is all it is, I would walk over broken glass to have those lads we sold back in our squad at this present time and I actually was glad we sold them apart from Manny as I was expecting better replacements how silly of me to think such things.
As said before it?s all smokescreen and mirrors.
Obinha - Obviously his work permit was going to be rejected, everyone knew that.
Moutinho - Obviously we didn?t offer enough money for him.
Hunt - Again, a silly bid.
M?Bia - never going to happen
Zayatte - showed interest but then dithered and let him go to Hull (maybe that?s his level)
All in all I think the players we have gone in for we have gone in ridiculously low and then not upped our offers because ...........wait for it............ we don?t have the money.
Everton would shit themselves if someone turned around and said we?ll take it because they have no intention of forking out cash for players in this transfer window.
Everything that has been done thus far is all a show so that they can turn around tomorrow and say "Well we tried our best."
Ridiculous shambles of an outfit, it?ll be exactly the same in January as well so don?t get your hopes up.
It just smacks of desperation, similar to Pikeys going around the houses offering to tarmac your drive!
DM: "Alright mush, got any midfielders?"
A N OTHER MANAGER: "Do you have any money?"
DM " NAH mush"
A N OTHER MANAGER: "Fuck off then"
At which point Moysee puts a brick through the window
For christ sake just put the extra 1.5 Million in or get lost Kenwright you diddering no mark!! it’s worth it just to keep the squad ticking
We should all boycott one home game to shake them up. It's no good listening to lies and doing nothing about it. We have become the laughing stock of the league: for BK read Albert Steptoe and DM is his son... Fucking rag and bone men!!
Hunt is a poor man’s Kevin Kilbane. Hardly the quality that will take us to the next level.
Trevor, I can just picture it now! Everton players walking out, Z-cars.. the roar from the crowd as it peters out, then da da da dada the Steptoe and Son Themetune
What is going on with our once great club ? We must have set some sort of record for being linked with players throughout the Summer. Its just not good enough BK. Sorry but you and Wyness did promise to " Back the Manager in the Transfer Market" Actions speak louder than words !!
Has the Castillo deal gone through? That was subject to international clearance and nothing has ben said?
Apparently after witnessing the Portsmouth massacre Castillo has gone back to where ever he came from (lol) and locked his manager in the porta-loo for sending him to Everton
Dont want to raise our hopes , but its just been reported on Setanta sports that we are making a last ditch attempt for the Mout..
Dont call me a bastard, just seen it before an advert break.
Lets hope its true and we pay what they want .....................lets go for it !!!
If we did get Hunt and the lad from Liege, we would still be one fucking big joke! You will have the usual suspects raving about them, and how BK and Moyes are fucking great. But, for me, these signings are not the quality of player we were promised. It just smacks of desperation now.
Tomorrow will probalby be the only time that the club will actually tell us anything, and it will probalby be in the form of a list, a list of all the players that we tried to sign, containing big, big names, but of course it will be all bullshit, as usual.
Kenwrights an embarrassment and Moyes looked totally embarrassed on that Telegraph interview.
A vote of no confidence has to be called for on Wednesday night.
We are fast becoming the laughing stock of the premiership now, i can’t take this much longer. I am seriously considering giving next season a miss.
Sorry but I can’t watch a great club fall while we are run by idoirs.
To top it i’ve just heard man city have been bought by a multi multi multi billionare, life f--ks
Castillo has signed and is our number 8 according to the OS.
He is next to Neville in the ’midfielders’ section
Jagielka is in the defenders section
Pity moyes doesnt read it
Anyone else see that the OS is closed for maintanace?
Sorry, meant idiots not idiors (i’m getting as bad the idoits now !)
Embarrassing. True. I will have to sleep in my Everton shirt as the only chance I get!!
The OS is back up. I thought at first it was to update details of a new signing. How pathetic of me!
Its not just the transfers thats screwed up, the whole club is a shambles. The merchandising and marketing is rubbish. I tried to buy a gift for my new son but the only thing you can buy on the website is the home kit - minus the sponsor!
But what does it mean James? Im clutching at this damn straw!
Never mind we’ve always got BLUETOOTH, hav’nt seen play him yet & were does he play ??
Concerning the OS site being down. Anyone think that a repeat of the ’Riquelme’ signing incident will occur with a certain Moutinho. Its funny that the site went down on that deadline day as well.
Hunt is in the division for his level of ability. Here we go again an avarage run of the mill player, who next bring Teddy Sheringham out of retirement.
The Official site is back up & running, one interesting point on it, the reserve game has been cancelled for tonight, makes you think we’ve pulled in that many youngsters from the reserve team and it has impacted massively on them , sad state of affairs !!
Everton at the moment remind me of myself when i was younger and at a nightclub.I would start the evening off with every intention of pulling a stunner, come 11 o clock and after 1 or 2 rejections i would lower my standards, when that didnt work just before chucking out time id be running around like some sort of fat drunk pervert propositioning every fat bird i could see.Sometimes i even got one.Thats Everton, that is.I did work on the law of averages as well, which i think is what Kenwright is doing, and he may just may pick up a stunner! I doubt it though.
If the club are not going to sign anyone, could they let me know so i can fuck off to bed
Panic over! we’ve signed Nash
does anyone know is there going to be anymore signings?
Why does everyone seem to believe everything that is reported? Where’s the proof that we have indeed made this £3.5m bid for Hunt? I’m sorry, but just because Sky Sports reported it, doesn’t make it true. And yet BK and DM are being castigated for making this "bid". You can’t slag someone off for doing something unless you have proof they’ve done it.
Yes, we might have been linked with everyone under the sun, but if you’re going to believe that all of these are actually players we’re after, then you’re proving why these "stories" are reported in the first place - because you all get excited about them!!
How many of the 3 signings we’ve made (plus the one which failed for the work permit) were reported anywhere in the press in the last 3 months???
Bob, with the exception of Saha why would the press want to report them.
Face facts fella, we have failed to build on last seasons success and the people who run the club are at fault. I dont know about castigated, castrated would be more apt.
HIndsight is a wonderful thing, I know, but I think subsequent events have validated my viewpoint.
I think, as ever, the press have proven themselves to be completely unreliable, and it still amazes me why so much faith is placed in anything that comes out from them.
Or did we suddenly find £15m down the back of the sofa an hour before the deadline??
