I’ve been away from a computer all day, hoping I would come home, switch on SSN and see we’d signed Obinna and Moutinho.

We all know how Obinna turned out and I have to say there is absolutely zero chance of Moutinho.

Why? He would have to be in the country already as Lisbon is about 1hr 45min flight away from London alone (some rumours have said he is here, but if so it would surely have been confirmed today). He would have to have agreed personal terms and passed the Everton medical (which seemingly takes three days usually).

But most importantly, we would’ve had to have paid 22 million euros (his reported buyout clause) as Sporting have rejected lesser bids three times now.

Does anyone really think all of this has happened in the last few hours, and that Everton would actually part with that much money for a single player (or in a single window even?)

No. So I have lost hope of getting him in.

I actually meant to write 22 million pounds, as that’s roughly what the buyout clause translates to (25 million euros).

The fact is we don’t have any money. The debts have been mounting up. This has been simmering in the back ground for a while. We’ve just turned a blind eye to it ’cos on the field we’ve been doing really well. I don’t agree with it. But i hope Kirkby goes ahead so we can get some investment in. I’d rather watch them play in Kirkby then the championship. If where not careful we’ll get relegated.

This what M’Bia said tonight:
Speaking to L’Equipe just a short while ago, the Rennes midfielder said that he has still not excluded an extension to his contract with Rennes.

"We have until midnight, we’ll see," he said. My father and my lawyer are currently with the Rennes management to find a solution. Apparently, an extension with a substantial wage increase is under consideration. "

When asked whether he would be disappointed if he had to stay at the French club, he replied: "On the contrary! Rennes is a great club which is in the process of going forward. If I stay, it will be a plus for everyone. I still have a lot to learn and I think I will have the chance to make contact with Guy Lacombe. All I want is to play. If possible as soon as possible. I want to return to football."

So it looks like the most probable outcome is that he stays at Rennes, but as he says, we still have a few hours to go

Why can Everton not make a bid bid for a player?. There is absoloutly nothing to lose at this stage of the summer with the window closing in hours..
We should just bite the bullet and bid what the selling club is asking for a player, even with Stephen Hunt we offer 2 million less than Reading are asking..
I actually think Hunt would be a decent buy for us as he impressed me when Reading were in the top flight...
Why dont we bid for Fellaini or Moutinho and really test someones resolve?. It is shameful the way we dont have two pennies to rub together and we know what the excuse is in January..Not a good time to conduct transfers...I think we could have a very unhappy ship on our hands at the AGM thats coming up...Sorry for the language thats coming up but Evertons board....BASTARDS!!

Joeynkoo - All the best mate, been working and watching and listening. Now I am drinking and will soon be crying and trying to take on the world. Maybe BK made his statement when he was pissed.
I was planning my Belgium trip today thinking about my excursions to Germany, Norway and Italy last season. I even met BK at Bologna Airport after the Fiorentina game and thought, nice chap. We took some photos and he actually cheered me up after the disapointing result.
I so wish you could be stood in front of me now you Bastard!!

What has happened to OUR club???

As fellas have mentioned above, we are seriously the laughing stock of the Prem..... Sunderland, Hull, Stoke throwing the cash about, never mind the players MON has brought in at Villa & don’t even get me started on Man City..........

Did anyone see NWT on BBC1 earlier interviewing the fella in Dubai who is mates with the guy who is heading up the takeover (in my moment of madness I can’t remeber his name!!) He said that he sapoke to him about taking over a footy club and how he looked at Arsenal but decided against cos they were always there or there abouts in the top 3 or 4, supposedly he wanted a team who were on the fringe of that, who with investment to go and splash on new players could not only break into the top 4 but win the prem and challenge for the Champs League all within 3 years....................... ??????????????? Surely that team should of been us??? We’re the team thats pushed the sky 4 for the last few years and the only team to break into it in recent years, so why not us???? Is BK actively seeking investment? Did the guy have a sniff but Was BK not too sure of this fellas intentions? Did he worry as a true blue just what this no mark with a few Billion quid behind him might do to us???
I cant even be arsed going into work tomorrow at this rate to face all the ridicule from every man and his dog about how much of a shambles we are, i think the fella who supports tranmere might even give me grief....... God help him when we have a kick about after work on Friday!!!!!

I hate to say this about a fellow blue but kenwright is an absolute cunt for the way he has weaved his tapestry of lies, spin and fals-information during his reign at the helm of the good ship Everton. At least Risdale lived the dream whilst it lasted because all said and done without David Moyes we would be in the dire straits that Leeds now find themselves in. Kenwright is the most incompetent chairman that Everton have ever had and I bring Peter Johnson into that equation. kenwright out now !

I mean, the amount of Africans playing in the UK & we send 3 boys to a hearing to be told "Fuck off!"

The blame has to lie somewhere: if it?s Moyes's fault, Kenwright needs to grow balls and sack him; if it?s Billy Liar, he needs to apologise to each & every one of us personally for the way he has managed to royally fuck up our progress.
