Come in Kenwright, your time is up

Comments (49)

Bill Kenwright was spouting on Sky Sports News four weeks ago about how Moyes dazzled him with a list of potential signings. "I watched him live and I thought now I get it." Lies, Lies and more Lies. Moyes has no faith in him and neither do I.

"I am willing to sell the club to a prospective buyer only if they have the best interests of the club at heart." What, like you? It is truly time to go. Moyes still yet to sign a contract, Moyes still yet to sign anyone who has any quality. Jacobsen so good no-one even attempted to sign him even though he's been available since 1 Jan. Castillo on loan... have you not learned from Fernandes, Mr Moyes? Saha (30 games from a possible 200 in a Manure shirt) another astute signing and probably cost us the rest of the Rooney payments.

Is Moyes just buttering up the Utd Board by taking all of the players they don't want in a hope that he will become Fergie's understudy and eventually Utd boss??? Time to come clean; we want the truth and we want it now!

I’ve got a really bad felling that the Saha transfer includes first option on any of our big names if they want to leave or any of the kids e.g. Rodwell/Baxter.

Just who’s going to buy him out. He wont go unless he gets back his £15-20m whatever he’s put in. At the moment we aint worth a penny to anyone. Whoever takes over needs to put in at least £80m to get nowhere, then £40m for players and probably £200m for ground.

I’m afraid we are well and truly done - no team , no ground , no money , no investor interest, and I suspect no manager shortly.

What has happened to all the money??

£10.5 million for Johnso on top of whatever else was in the kitty and what have we spent?? NOTHING!!

4 players in, now Nash has been confirmed and not one penny spent initially. Surely we could have waded in with a big bid for a big name or two for crying out loud we are being outbid by Stoke and Hull for fucks sake!!

Unless something drastic happens in the next two hours I seriously fear for our future and heads will have to roll. I hate to say it but our next game away at Stoke could already be a 6 pointer!!

I completely agree. Last season I walked out of the last game on top of the world. We were 5th. Moyes had done his job, now it was time for Kenwright to do his and push us on.

We no longer look like even being able to challenge for 5th, nor has Kenwright backed moyes to push us on. Well its the last straw. he HAS to go.

I hope you can swim Mr Kenwright, because we are about to miss the boat.

Your right Gary, we have probalby got Saha instead of the further payment we were expecting from the mancs.
I remember reading in the NOTW when I was on holiday, that the fee was rumoured to be around £1.5m, and didn’t the mancs owe us something like that?

to finish 5th , and end up with a weaker squad by the following sep 1’st is just unacceptable.

apart from a few decent players , the club on a whole is in tatters.

i also cant see things getting any easier.
next summer we will face the same problems and issues as we face today if kenwright remains.

i dont want answers or reasons anymore , i just want kenwright and earl gone asap..

Yeah we just waste all of our time chasing a teenager who didnt have a prayer of getting a work permit. How that wasnt picked up from the start is beyond me, more great work by club officials..........on the flip side though it’s a bit funny that the shite have signed a brazilian teenage striker and didnt have a problem with his permit!!!

Spare a thought for poor Doddy. He’s been made to look a complete twat by his idol - chairman bill. It must be like finding out father christmas is actually the bloke next door who has been doing your mum.

I think the EGM must pass a vote of no confidence but in reality it will make no difference - as Mike says there is no one willing to buy even if we came free

To Mike Oates,

Mike, if I’m not mistaken Man City have managed to find 2 Billionaires in the space of about 12 months to buy into the club. If you believe that he is still working 24/7 to bring in new investment then I take you back to the start of this thread and lies spouted (again) on SSN a few weeks back. Do not tell me that there is no one who will invest in our club. He is holding on to power! End of! We have been royaly shafted again!! And by someone who claims to be one of us!!!

It would not have been so bad if he had come out and said we do not have the cash to buy the player (yes I know it would never happen) but to build our hopes up like he did with the Sky interview to continuously spout shit about the money is there to be spent is just disgraceful. As the last week has dragged on every Evertonian I have spoken to has become increasingly angry, the nearest comparison I can think of is when Johnson sold Ferguson to Newcastle. I hope that every fan at the derby gives Kenwright absolute shit and let it be clearly known that he is no longer welcome at Goodison Park. He claims to love the club but all summer it has become clear that is not the case, if he loves the club he should let go now
Where has the money gone? It is like we have been asset stripped, even his most ardent supporters that I have spoken today has had enough of him. Someone made the point at half time in the Lower Glad bar on Saturday ?I love the club to bits but I don?t attempt to own it, I have not got the money, so why on earth does Kenwright??
I am so annoyed I can type my thoughts any longer.

City bid for Robinho?? I just can't believe this anymore. Why did we have the misfortune to suport such a poverty-stricken club ran by lying bastards and addled by once a blue always a blue scumbags.

I am really sick of Everton and how far behind we have fell now and for my liking we should be celebrating if we are safe from relegation by the end of March. Our next home game is the derby. I get the feeling there will be a few disgusted people at the end of that game but how about a genuine stand against what has gone on at the club? A demonstration? We had it against Johnson.

I have had enough of the lack of leadership and direction at Everton Football Club. What a total lack of foresight (yet again).

Where are the promised big signings? We get a washed up keeper, an injury prone striker ans defender and an unknown Ecudorian midfielder! Do they not recognise the need for fit players to fight on all fronts or are they happy for us to go out of two competitions in a month to Standard and Blackburn?

Yet again Billy manages to lie. Add to this to the unpalletable the fact that those 'slumbering giants' Man City have been bought out not once but twice by wealthy bebenfactors and it shoots holes a mile wide into Bullshit Billy's 24/7 claim in looking for investment.

I despair and worry for the club I love. It looks like a long hard season lies ahead of us.

What has happened to OUR club???

As has been mentioned previously, we are seriously the laughing stock of the Prem..... Sunderland, Hull, Stoke throwing the cash about, never mind the players MO’N has brought in at Villa & don?t even get me started on Man City..........

Did anyone see NWT on BBC1 earlier interviewing the fella in Dubai who is mates with the guy who is heading up the takeover at Man City(in my moment of madness I can?t remeber his name!!)
He said that he spoke to him about taking over a footy club and how he looked at a few including Arsenal but decided against cos they were always there or there abouts in the top 3 or 4, supposedly he wanted a challenge, a team who were on the fringe of that, who with investment to go and splash on new players could not only break into the top 4 but win the prem and challenge for the Champs League all within 3 years....................... ??????????????? Surely that team should of been us??? We?re the team thats pushed the sky 4 for the last few years and the only team to break into it in recent years, so why not us???? Is BK actively seeking investment? Did the guy have a sniff but Was BK not too sure of this fellas intentions? Did he worry as a true blue just what this no mark with a few Billion quid behind him might do to us???
I cant even be arsed going into work tomorrow at this rate to face all the ridicule from every man and his dog about how much of a shambles we are, i think the fella who supports tranmere might even give me grief....... God help him when we have a kick about after work on Friday!!!!!

Lets face it people BK will not be selling up this club anytime soon. He goes on about new investors, but nothing happens. Look at Man City, their history is not like ours, yet as someone posted earlier, this is their second billionaire. Okay they have a better ground than us, but we have the history, we are ment to be "The Peoples Club" more like the "The Laughing Stock".

Bill just won't let go and that is where our problem lies. How many more false dawns and broken dreams are we going to have to face?

Something is very wrong, clearly we are strapped for cash but why? and why pretend it's any different? Maybe its BK way of shifting season tickets, maybe BK just sees this as another west end production thats had a few bad opening reviews but if he can shift some tickets everything will be ok, well it won?t and I just do not buy into the fact he is actively searching for new investment, if he and his chief executive have been then all I can say is your bloody useless fund raisers!

The global demand for the control of premier clubs has never been so strong and nor has the money coming in to the prem. If you can?t get any discussions going now then please admit your either useless or lying ( its got to be one of these two)

You only have to look at the changes of control and the large influx of money over BK reign to see what we missed, below is a quick off the top of my head list of prem clubs with major investment in the past 5 years.

Chelsea
Man U
Liverpool
City (twice)
Westham
Villa
Stoke
Newcastle
Sunderland
Portsmouth

If that does not convince you that there is something about BK?s story that does not stack up then nothing ever will.

I truly hope someone asks and some hard nosed questions at the agm and I hope that person does not let go until they are told the truth what ever that is.

The one saving grace is BK is no fool and if he is holding out trying to optimise the sale price then he will no doubt understand that with every passing week there?s a real danger the value of the club will go lower not higher and now is the time to sell and move on.

I always defended Blue Bill in the past. However, i think he should resign with immediate effect. Blue Bill tried to tell us that he's always on the phone trying to attract investment. He said that he won't sell to a millionaire but to a billionaire. Well Blue Bill, you forgot to call the Sheik of Abu Dhabi and he bought Man City and Robinho in 48 hours while you couldn't match Sporting's valuation of Moutinho, Rennes's valuation of M'Bia and so on. At least if you don't want to sell be honest to us fans and not blatantly lie in our faces.
