The Mail Bag

Both myself and my brothers were priviledged guests of SCFC and received the full hospitality treatment from the North Midlands' finest today. Out of the three tables in the Boardroom, only two were fully filled, the absence of BK and his entourage leaves questions to be answered.

What I will say is that Robert Elstone seems like the perfect gentleman... very engaging, although he wouldn't give much away on Kirkby etc.... Sir Phil ? I can't say much... other than I haven't seen anyone more passionate about this club and eager for investment.

Before this game, I guess I was ignorant to the passion of some of our Board.... I just hope that BK's absence was more than 'illness'... maybe he was having an Indian???

I’m not really bothered if the Indian guy takes over the club.
It would be better if he just took over the catering.
A decent balti and chapati would be far better than the crap they’re serving at the ground this season

You and 20,000 others I am afraid, it's amazing how a corporate meal can sway an opinion, don't get me wrong I am corporate for every game so I am not against it and I have travelled away with normal tickets all over the place.

My point, of course their passionate its their job to be if they are not the club has no chance, its comments like above that stagger me and the belief that because you were a suit to a game or your involved in running a club like Everton your any less passionate than someone on the Terraces. They may not be passionate initially about the club if they are not a supporter but they are definitely passionate about their job and succeeding in the role they have been given, it helps even more on top of that if you develop a passion for the club, made all the more easier when you feel the passion of the supporters and the overall feel of the place you work.

Everybody is doing the best they can at Goodison, Yes their are fundamental weaknesses, commercially in particular, they know it and will in my opinion do something about it.

Addendum to Carleton?s post ....

......although he is in search of investment 24/7 and speaks to David Moyes 15 or 16 times a day.

Have a word with yourself fella! So BK can’t even go away on business. EFC is not his full-time occupation (using this term loosley)!!!!

Can we please leave off with the curry and chapati stereotypes for fuck’s sake?? I am ambitious for Everton and welcome investment from anyone who wants to make us the best club in the world and keep to our traditions.
