Fair Play, Robert Elstone

i noticed that Robert Elstone is to meet up with some of the KEIOC lot to discuss potential other sites within the city boundary. I think this is a minor breakthrough for KEIOC. Let's just wait and see if he actually listens or if it's a publicity stunt.....

Of course he can listen and I believe he will, but where is the additional money on top of the 78 million Everton have to find for DK, this is the one floor in the KEIOC argument.
Their is no other benefactor or are you hoping for someone to drop out the sky and give Everton the additional 100 million plus required to build it somewhere else.
No DK no Tesco= no money.
The council might help but not to that extent as will maybe some european grant but in the main without the full amount secured its a non starter.
You seriously think he gives a fuck what KEIOC think? He?s just doing it to look as though he?s listening (in my opinion). The club have said they are fully committed to Kirkby. He?ll just be on autonod, being polite, etc.
How will it work? Are the KEOIC representatives offering, what they feel to be viable sites or is Elstone?
It could be a short meeting a bit like two schoolkids trying to swap the old pannini footy stickers, instead of got...got...want....got..., it will be can’t afford it......can’t afford it....can’t afford it....can’t afford it....want..but can’t afford it etc etc
Robert Elstone meeting with representatives of KEIOC on the understanding of examining alternative sites for a proposed stadium would appear to run counter to the official stance that Everton have continually maintained since Kirkby was called in. The statement "There is every expectation that the government will find in our favour" does seem to portray a certain level of intransigence when it comes to other options. Indeed, this coms as somewhat of a surprise in view of the railroading the board exhibited at the EGM. It would also appear to counter the ’exclusivity agreement’ Everton have with Tesco. One would therefore have to ask: Are Tesco fully cognisant with what appears to be a breach in their unified endeavours? I cannot conceive of a situation where Everton would act unilaterally in this instance. I can only assume this has been done in agreement with Tesco, an in that light I would deem it somewhat suspicious.
Tony Williams,
this is exactly right to quote Bluekipper
"Everton Fans Group Keep Everton In Our City (KEIOC), have taken up the invitation by Acting CEO Robert Elstone to meet up and discuss potential alternatives to the Destination Kirkby project.
With the Public Inquiry set for November regarding the planning application, time is running out to keep the Blues in the boundaries of the City. KEIOC have reiterated that this meeting and any future meetings with the Blues will be only about alternative Ground ideas within Liverpool, and not for Everton to sell the Kirkby project to them."
Fuckin bollocks!!! Kenwright?s latest yes-man. I wish Bill would FUCK OFF RIGHT NOW!!
This guy seems to be a lot better than Keith Wyness, certainly from his early dealings. Time will tell, but I think he has made a good start to his new role.
