Destruction Derby

Comments (13)

Now I know that the atmosphere on Saturday will be rocking but I'm writing this post to urge everyone attending to give that extra bit of vocal support. Not only at the start but during the warm up, when the kopites are trying to sing let's drown those kopite bastards out, during half time, when were under pressure, if we have just conceeded (let's hope not). Also let's get behind the lads regardless of sloppy passses or yet another long aimless ball played by pip.

Let's shout for every decision and roar with all we have whenever we are attacking and on top. Let's bring as many flags and banners as possible and lets make this derby one which will lift the team and give us great memories of the day Goodison rocked once again and sent the Liverpool players and fans packing back across Stanley Park knowing that they have been beaten on AND off the park by the GREATEST team and fans in Liverpool. I look forward to Saturday and being apart of such a great day. COYB!!

Errr... kinda funny reading that after listening to the unhappy Blues fans booing another poor Everton performance lacking in so many of the basics the much-maligned Tony Marsh talks about...

They have to perform on the field for for Evertonians to provide their vocal support. T'was ever thus.

I feel very uncomfortable with these posts, Kind of simular to Delia asking ’Where are you?’

Were playing so shite at the moment that we will most likely win tyhe derby, thats the way things often go.

I think it is time to move Arteta back into the centre where we can get a grip on games and let Fellaini & Castillo fight it out for the other central role. Having 2 ’enforcers’ just confuses our midfield. I know we are short of wide players but the ’engine’ is more important.

Whilst I will arrive in nervous expectation I fear I shall leave with harsh realisation....that we have at best stagnanted. My mobile phone shall remain off until Sunday morning to avoid the inevitable abuse :-)

Defeatist, never; pessimist, probably; realist, most definitely.

Get in lad, everyone get up for the Derby. It was awful last night, i went and it was that bad and yes i booed them. But today let’s look forward to the Derby and lets do them. I reckon we can win if Moyes can get Fellaini to run a bit more !!

Must comment on your post, Johnny Bell.

"Despite another long aimless ball from Pip".I do recall him making such ball, particularly last season but, in my opinion this season he has been one of our best defenders. He rarely now boots the ball downfield, rather the short pass to a colleague. Not defence splitting but rarely the big hoof.

Rather its Jagielka who invariably just boots it downfield. Because he quite often makes a good tackle, this appalling aspect of his game is overlooked. Just count the number of balls from Jags in defence which finish up with an opposition player

Ronnie Goodlass couldn?t have summed us up any better: "We are just pumping 40-yard balls up-field".
Do some of you lads still reckon we don?t play hoofball?

Well I would hope ? although I?m not confident ? that they would put up more of a performance against Liverpool than against Blackburn. They had very obviously decided in advance to divest themselves of the burden of Carling Cup fixtures. I think that is disgraceful, but hopefully they can avoid disgracing themselves on Saturday.

Peter, I don't think it was down to us "divesting ourselves of the burden of Carling Cup". I think we are just plain old shite, mate... end of. Turned over twice by a mid-table team, we should have been 2 or 3 they missed 2 one-on-ones. And if they're mid-table, what are we?

Peter, if that was the case, why did Moyes throw on Cahill and the Yak at half time, with a derby on the horizon? Surely, if Moyes wasn?t arsed about this competition, he wouldn?t have risked the 2 of them? As Alan said, "We are just plain old shit". Predictible hoofball again.

......"Let?s shout for every decision and roar with all we have whenever we are attacking and on top......"

It?s probably going to be very quiet then ;0)

I assume you are talking about Everton and not Arsenal reserves....;0)

I would like to know where the blues have gone? We take 4-5 thousand to Blackburn yet all I have seen on the streets this week in the run-up to the derby is red shirts. Why don't our fans wear their Everton tops in this city and let any outsiders see that it's not just LFC here? I only live 2 miles from Goodison and I never see a blue on a non-match day.
