The Mail Bag

Lot 1878 ? Everton FC

Historic Football club for Sale. A good family club which somehow fell into the wrong hands and has slight damage because of:

  • Debts that need clearing.
  • A ground that needs updating or even a new one building.
  • A manager that would require a new contract, along with a kick up the arse and a good telling to that 'hoofball' is not the Everton way.
  • Will also require at least a £50 million tranfer kitty each close season.

Yes it's needs work but for any multi-Billionaire, this would be a wonderful chance to own the People's Club and your very own piece of Football History. With all said work doing to, this club will again challenge all and could possibly become Premier League champions.

Offers in writing please to Bluebill@misinformation.com.

Thanks and good luck.

Dear Bill

I have herd abowt dis team of yours dat you ave no money for. I wud be interested in buyin it but only after you pay all the debt off and stop calling it de peoples club. I would want a new manager and a new team with palm trees at de corners of de pitch. I must look into dis more.

You want to be careful trying to sell us like you would a second hand car. You never know who’s out there...

We might end up like Newcastle and get some Nigerian 419 scamsters interested in us, promising to pay double the asking price (via WorldPay of course) if only we drop the club off in Kirkby and pay a few ’clearance fees’ beforehand.

Much as I like him, BK strikes me as the person most likely to fall for the above! (Other than Mike Ashley and the "Geordie nation" that is.)

Does anyone know when we'll find out about KEIOC's meeting with the club on Tuesday?

EFC has had the for sale sign nailed on it for a long time now.

If you want some really dodgy owners look no further than the ex-Russian French arms dealing now Israeli money-laundering politicians who own Portsmouth (not the patriarch of course, number one son - according to the off-shore holding company that actually owns the club). They might be interested. There must be a number 2 son somewhere. Fit and proper?

So, is someone going to turn up on Sat’die with a giant "For Sale" sign?

I think not.
