Do it now, Billy!

The only thing that could possibly upset me more than what happened this afternoon is if I hear that Moyes has signed that bloody contract. Whatever the man has done to restore Everton's fortunes after the Johnson/Smith era, his time is over. He`s run out of ideas and is misusing the not inconsiderable talent he has at his disposal.

His dithering has now reached legendary proportions. He wasted the summer and he's wasted our patience whilst he niggles about minor details in a contract he should have signed in March.

Do it now, Billy. Pay the miserable git to go. For god's sake do something right for once. PLEASE!

Send for Big Sam... John Collins or even Glen Hoddle. But one thing Bill Kenwright MUST do tonight is withdraw that contract offer to David the Ditherer.

"Enough is enough, thank you for what you've done, mate, but your time is past. The team you created is stale... putrid in fact and the style of play belongs to another era."

That's the Chairman's speech for tonight ? time to move on.

Right, let's get one thing straight. I've hated him, loved him, hated him & throughout this summer been terrified that he'd go. But, after today, which I went to by the way & was home before full time, enough is enough. 4-5-1 only works with the right players who are also fully fit. Did we have this today???

That was far too easy for Liverpool, we had no width, no control of the middle & no threat from anywhere. You could see them just waiting, biding there time for the chance that would surley come. Who was marking for that 1st goal??

Thats 4 home games, no wins, 4 goals for & 10 against. UNACCEPTABLE. MOYES, SIGN YOUR CONTRACT OR FUCK OFF. IT CANNOT BE HELPING. YOU ARE NOW STANDING IN THE WAY OF TEAM PROGRESS. WHY SHOULD THEY PLAY FOR YOU WHEN THEY KNOW YOU CAN'T EVEN BE ARSED TO SIGN, WHETHER IT BE FOR £20k OF £100k. PULL YOUR FINGER OUT AND COMMIT YOURSELF.

I'm fed up with this, there was no game plan, no real chances and yet again you surrendered to them. I'm sorry but, it's now time for you to fuck off to Celtic or to Man U as No 2 because on the season so far, I'd take Roy Kinear over you. It's definitely time for Moyes to fall on his sword.

I'll keep it short and sweet: everything Moyes used to do well ? motivating the players, snapping up bargains ? is on the wane and he remains tactically inept, we haven't developed a football style and our younger players don't seem to come on as well as they should. It's time to move on and he knows it, hence he hasn't signed his contract.

Should Moyes Walk?... Two reasons....

1. He has been put in this postion by financial constraints during the summer

2. He's put Everton in this position by not signing players early on and not signing his contract and panic buys... ie, Fellaini.

I think it?s time for a change. David Moyes is simply not worth £3-4 million a year. How can any Evertonian defend the shite that we play? Who next? Bilic, Maldini, or how about David Jones? Anyone with a modicum of flair will do. Time for Moyes, Kenwright and the whole inept regime to go.

What a joke of a post, you tell me who we would get in who would do better than Moyes?

The best bit is yes Moyes needs to have a certain element of criticism to his tactics but to knee-jerk to Moyes out is frankly a disgrace. The Evertonians calling for his head will be the first to moan if a new manager comes in and doesn?t win the first couple of games.

I?m all for debate and constructive criticism, and really appreciate this website but this shit really annoys me and is not constructive for our great club!!!

Just read Moyes's comments on the game. Two words... Moyes out. Went the game and that was the worst EFC derby I have ever witnessed. No shape, or ambition. Long balls all game ? a joke!!!

M Morgan. It’s your type of attitude that leaves me most disillusioned with Everton. This attitude of "we can’t get any better" or "we’ll end up like Newcastle". It’s bollocks.

The 90s era seems to have left a lot of Evertonians so scared of failure that they don’t dare dream of success. So we all have to accept mediocrity because it’s better than relegation. FUCK THAT, show some ambition and lets try and start competing again.

One thing is abundently clear and that is that Moyes has taken us as far as he can. Players, supporters are all so depressed, the style of play is abysmal, there is no way that he should be offered that contract, it may well bankrupt us.

For the first time ever, we have come away from a derby not bothered about being beaten, because the better side by a mile won. We had nothing and never looked like scoring and it was quite simply fucking embarrassing. Kenwright must withdraw the contract offer because, apart from performances, Moyes has taken the piss enough, by messing around ? we are a complete shambles on and off the field. The players we have are capable of much much more and because of his tactics (or lack of them) we are looking like amatuers.

This is no knee-jerk reaction ? when was the last time we played decent football? As I speak, Hull are beating Arsenal... shit we are doomed!!!!

Wot the hell, Moyes is one of the best managers around, the way he has made us a top 6 team with hardly any cash is top quality. Give him the cash and he will take us further. It's not Moyes we need replacing ? it's Kenwright.

Pellegrino?

I?ve been saying the same for a while now, think he?d come?
For 4 mill a year, of course he would.

I could not disagree more. If we had sacked Moyes every time he had a bad run we would be in a far worse position.

We get this knee jerk stuff every year unfortunately.

Maybe the fact that today?s team had Eight of the players in the starting line up that beat the RS 3-0 at Goodison 2 years ago belies the need for players to bed in and find their feet. The 2006 side had Carsley, Johnson and Naysmith plus the other 8.

Today's team had the 8 plus
Jagielka (£4m) , Yak (£11m) and the 15 million pound man ? that?s a net improvement of about £20m. The score and performance are totally different to that memorable day from 2 years ago.

Ed, it’s not knee jerk, we’ve been watching this crap for 6 years now. People who defend Moyes like this must never actually go and watch any games.

Matthew Morgan, I won?t re-write the names of who could do a better job than David Moyes. Hull went to Arsenal today with an attitude that is beyond the imagination of DM. They actually thought they might win.

"Don?t let them play" is his attitude. Lets go 4-5-1 and see what happens. He?s been found out. It?s not novel any more. Today at home we played like we were away to Barcelona. We were outplayed by a very ordinary side.

Does any Evertonian believe that there is any other club in the world that would offer this dour, negative, boring, uninspired, disinterested, insipid, Championship-level, flairless, tactically naive, greedy coach £4 million a year?

Agree with some of what your saying lads, its not so much the criticism of Moyes as no one is beyond that, its just knowing that this type of Moyes out article would appear on Toffeeweb as soon as was reasonably possible.

Alan i for one do not accept the standard Everton are playing and I also advocated getting rid of Lee Carsely not because he did a job, but because i did not feel he could take us to the next level.

I do feel frustrated like everybody else, and am getting really pissed off with the contract situation, but if we are going to judge Davey this season lets give him a few more games and remember Liverpool have spent more money on thier two forwards than Davey has since he’s been here. Its all about context, maybe we should look at who really has screwed up this club!

Ed McDonald... ?we get this knee jerk stuff every year? ...and just why is that?? because in all his seasons here Moyes has never done any better than putting half a good season in. 2004-05 a case in point and all the other seasons poor 1st qtr, good half, poor last qtr and all the other permutations.

Steadied the ship... probably

Win the Americas Cup or Whitbread round the World race.... not a shit show!!

Time to walk the plank... more than likely.

I’ve supported Moyes in the past but after the most clueless, pathetic, spineless, determineless, passionless, abilityless Everton derby performance I’ve evere had the displeasure to watch for the first time I think I agree that Moyes should go.

Other than the current poor performances I’m also livid with his current pre and post match comments. His pre match ambles portay a man resigned to the fact we we’re going to lose before a ball has even been kicked and can’t do much for player belief!!, and his post match interviews completely miss the key areas where we’ve fallen down.

He has the best 11 players he’s ever had at his disposal but seems clueless as to how to utilise their talents or motivate their spirits, he must go.

Maybe, just maybe, Moyes is completely disillusioned with the Mickey Mouse way this club is run. Maybe he is sick of false promises and just maybe it's now seeped through to the players as well. Maybe its not just the supporters who can see through all the nonsense surrounding the club.

Do you think the players never look at these web sites? They?ve been brought here on a bed of lies and false promises. I strongly suspect that the nonsense of the summer transfer window has not only made the supporters disillusioned but its opened the eyes of the players as to what they have got themselves involved in.

I would?nt be surprised if the better players start to jump ship at the first opportunity. They are only mercenaries after all, I know I would if I were them, unlike us they have know real allegiance to this club.

As for Moyes, deep down he?s probably had enough, although he knows that with Kenwright at the helm, it's as safe a job as you can get in the Premier League. He only has to see what happened to big Sam when he buggered off to Newcastle.

So there it is, I bet I?m not far off the mark and Moyes and the players are only human like everyone else. That summer transfer window was a complete disaster for this club and it's not just the supporters who had their eyes opened by it.

I rarely comment on the manager because I think we have no sway over what happens, but after yesterday I am really concerned that he hasn’t a clue or does not give a toss.

I sit in the family enclosure with my son and we never leave before the end of the match, but this season we have twice, mainly due to the poor showing by the team. To me, as a unit they don’t seem to care - there is no apparent unity, no team spirit.

In the first half of yesterdays game, not one substitute was warming up, Moyes only sent them to warm up when the first goal went in - to me, far too late. I think we were all disapointed not to see Saha starting, so it was a given that he would be coming on at some time during the game - so why not have him going through warm ups during the game, especially given his previous injuries. Osman was obviously not 100% with his knee injury, so why keep Castillo out of the game.

Moyes did nothing after putting on Saha.

I firmly believe that Moyes not signing his contract has spread a sense of a lack of confidence to the team. If he is not confident to sign one of the most lucrative contracts in football then either he has no confidence in being here come next season or something is not right at the club; whichever it is it needs sorting one way or another. We have a game next Sunday against the only team with a lower confidence than us and they have "Roy" Kinnear in charge; if we don’t win that one then we really will be screwed this year, I’m not even thinking of Thursday.

We can only have our say on websites and at the game because I really don’t think that the club at this point care whether we are happy or not.

Next two games are make or break for the season, as after Newcastle we have Arsenal and Manure, so lose the next two and we will probably be in the bottom three after the Manure game; then season over?

The real problem is Kenwright! It is he with the power to make managerial changes so it is down to him to put a huge package together and offer it to a leading European coach NOW whilst our stock is still relatively high.
