Middle East Connections

Comments (6)

There has been recent speculation that Everton Football Club are up for sale to any bidder meeting Bill Kenright's fairly exacting sale terms and codicils... ie. that any new owner respect EFC's History and traditions.

It was with some interest I noted in The Mail on Sunday of a dinner at Scott's restaurant attended by Sir Phillip Green, Amanda Stavely and Simon Cowell. It is common knowledge that Sir Phillip Green is a trusted confidante and allegedly a financial adviser to Bill but has no further interest in EFC. It is also a fact that Amanda Staveley has recently brokered the sale of Manchester City to a Middle Eastern oil magnate. Does this intimate dinner constitute enough evidence to further fuel the rumour that EFC will be sold to a middle Eastern client of Staveley in the immediate future? And what is Cowell's connection to Bill? I consider this remotely interesting and worthy of debate.

By the way what is David's secret in keeping Louis fit when MUFC with all their resources couldn't get him fit for consecutive games?

Francis - are you sure that you’re not getting this confused with the chance meeting of a manager and a dodgy agent in a Little Chef just off the A6?

If the Arab trillions do come into play, as they say ’Change is gonna come’ without doubt.

And Saha? Just look deep into DM’s eyes. Scary.

If this story has truth to it I’m in favour of a takeover. Sure we would all want the traditions of the club kept alive and owners who understand the nature of football, but I also want to break the top 4 and no longer be restricted in our potential by cash.

While I assume any investor would 1st want to know the outcome of Kirkby if we are owned by an individual or family who want to make us their flagship and measure their wealth in the trillions as the subject article states, then our chances of getting a decent stadium design may improve.

I?ll believe it when I see it. BK will only relinquish control when he's good and ready and that's when he's milked every last penny out of asset which is Everton Football Club.

As for keeping with the club's tradition and history, it?s a bit fucking rich for a guy who wants to move us out our historical city. No, I?m affraid this is more smoke and mirrors with the help of his friends in the media ready for the AGM.

I suspect the ?posh totty? only added Everton to her published list of clients at the deft suggestion of Fat Phil ? Kenwright?s bosom pal. Talk?s cheap, as they say!

As far as Saha is concerned, I will wait to see if he?s still playing at Christmas before believing he?s cured of sicknoteitis.

Saha was unloaded by Man Utd because he would not be able to get a regular place in their side and he was top heavy with strikers anyway...his fitness was another thing.
I have noticed a few rumours emerging again about transfers to EFC involving Moutinho again and Love...perhaps Arteta and the Yak will be off...Arteta has not looked happy all season and the Yak is going back to being lazy.....just a thought !!
