How much is it to get in tonight?

Why do we find pre season friendlies so compelling? Maybe its standing there going 'who the fuck is he?' for 20 minutes before someone in the know turns to inform you that its some Peruvian on a 2-week trial with a Carlos Valderama haircut. Then again, those days have ebbed away now with us all glued to the world wide web 24 hours a day.

Before my time, but is it true that some supporters made it onto the bench for a Kendal Mark 1 friendly on the continent? I imagine that one of said supporters got on the pitch at some point and laced a hatrick past FC Hoeng. I may have been in the pub when someone told me this.

I hope Anderson da Silva plays tonight, he always looks mustard at this stage of the season.

Anybody heard anything about the Himalayan triallist we’re rumoured to be playing tonight? Apparently he’s currently a goat herder who’s playing semi-pro in a Nepal league... Wrong side of 30 and did his cruciate 18 months ago.

From what little I’ve heard regarding his fitness, I doubt he could last any more than 60 mins in the Prem and is a squad player at best. Would be good playing at altitude though.

I have it under good authority this Himalayan fellow always has a world class outing against FC Koln.

Well, we do aspire to lofty heights so that player may come in handy.

Apparently, this Himalayan triallist first came to prominence several years ago, in the qualifying rounds for the Sherpa Van Trophy.

Just before I get me coat, anybody with a match update / report, particularly with reference to how the young ’uns performed ?

Didn’t Sherpa Van Trophy used to play for Ajax?

Not the best show but pre-season never yields victories for Everton. The biggest cheer of the night went to the guy who ran off with the corner flag.

Thanks to Richard I know the name of the number 20 who had a good game and lo and behold it was Mustafi he was impressive at the back

Others who came out with credit:

Wallace - probed the midfield well and passed the ball comfortably

Agard - Very quick and direct including one mazy run beating 3 players.

Baxter did not do much and Peterlin was so anonymous, I only found out he was playing when I checked the squad numbers on here.
