I was looking forward to pre-season in particular I wanted to see what position Moyes was playing Fellaini in. However, despite seeing him in training, he was not playing against Bury and he is not listed in the squad for today's game with Rochdale (official site)

So is he injured?
Has he got some game to play with Belgium?
Where is Fellaini?

What shits me off is that I pay 40 pound a year for EvertonTV and yet I cannot watch it because i’m in Australia (and not in UK or Ireland). What a wank.

That’s a bummer, Nick. Isn’t there a way you can use a proxy to fool with the IP Address and make it think you are in the UK?

If I knew how to do it, I’d love to. I’m unsure why broadcasting rights would be an issue when it’s not even being broadcast here in oz. Very odd.

If you know where I can find a ’proxy’ to use then i’d be all ears. Any ideas would be appreciated. C’mon you blues!

That would be very helpful Michael - as I’ve just subscribed from here in Spain - taking the money didn’t seem to be a problem - and the first I heard of the ’UK only’ thing was when they told me I was blocked.

So how do I go about finding how this might be done?

So annoying — just coughed up my £4.99 to catch some of the friendlies on EvertonTV only to, like Mark, Lloyd and Wayne, to be greeted with a blank screen.

Nice one Everton — yet again.

Yeah, I saw that as well Mark. Anyone see the goals? Duffy scored the first... set piece perhaps?

Why did they score a penalty? 3-1 within 32 mins is action packed, I suppose that’s why no-one is commenting here.

Good picture — sorry lads!!!

3 Goals, Duffy header from corner, OG from Bailes cross, and Jo bottom left corner from edge of box.

1 Goal Rochdale, penalty after Neville tripped a lad up.

Funny game, Rochdale could have scored 4, Hibbert and Duffy getting torn apart down our right.

Fellaini poor so far, Saha our best player.

I subscribed for the year last week and couldn’t log in for two days. Had a right go at them by email over it.

Now this - they should have road-tested it first to make sure they can deliver. They're probably sitting there looking at the viewing figures thinking nobody can be bothered to watch it!

To be fair it may be out of the hands of EFC whether they can show games overseas ... especially when LIVE. It’s just like when I attempt to watch clips on the BBC site and it’s only for UK-viewers (live or otherwise).
However, that said they should have stated that upfront so international users could make a more informed decision when purchasing EvertonTV.

It's not just pre-season that’s like that, during the season if you’re not in the UK you can’t see highlights or goals 'til 24 hours after the UK gets it on EvertonTV.

Okay, so Fellaini is in the squad then!!!

To my mind we have 4 CM playing. Which ones are playing on the left and the right side of midfield? That is of course if we are playing 4-4-2!

No protection in front of back 4, Rochdale nearly braking through at times, Lescott having a go at Neville, Fellaini & Co.

Rochdale throughball between Duffy and Lescott, should have scored!!!

Jo keeps loosing ball, Baines and Saha pick of the bunch. Changes to be made shortly.

Sharpy should summed up as a SLOPPY performance so far!

Weak header from Jo.

3 subs on: Vaughan, Baxter, Coleman; off: Cahill, Saha and Duffy.

We keep giving ball away with real sloppy passing, particularly Fellaini, Jo.

Mike Oates, Fairplay to you mate, much appreciated! Coleman by all accounts so far seems very useful, very fast, good engine, good tackler, offers much more going forward than Hibbo etc. As Neville and Gosling can also play RB I get your point!

So its 1-4 now then? Even though a friendly, a brace has gotta help Jo’s confidence nicely :-)

How’s Joleon’s demeanor looking? (Hope he wants to stay!)

Joleon just missed a sitter and smiling and laughing over to bench, also many good blocks, looks ok.

By the way, apparently Osman is out injured according to the commentator - here we go: Finished 4 - 1.

Anyone provide a breakdown / player rating on the game. I didn’t get to see it.

How did Wallace play does there appear to be anyone progressing based on your assessment?

Were there any of the youth players who have been brought through in the game who impressed, how about Vaughan?

Have to go out now for an Elvis Pressley Tribute night!!! For Paul’s benefit, a quick player by player score:

Turner - 5, doesn’t inspire any confidence
Hibbert - 5, skinned a few times, poor passing
Duffy - 5, constantly caught out
Lescott - 7
Baines - 8, best player
Wallace - 6, not always in it, poor control at times
Fellaini - 6, always available but passing poor
Neville - 7, does what he does best
Cahill - 5 , very quiet
Saha - 7, class at times but greedy
Jo - 7, took goals well but easily knocked off the ball
Vaughan - 7, tried like hell, unfortunate at times
Baxter - 6, lad looks class act, needs more time
Coleman - 7, looks good, fast, tackles well... why Naughton?

Jo took his goals well, both good finishes.

Fellaini didn’t look interested and Cahill hardly got a touch, but to be fair, the system didn’t help as one of them was supposed to be on the left but both of them kept coming inside.

It will be interesting to see Coleman play against good opposition as so far he’s looked decent, he’s got bags of pace and he’s not shy going forward, so far so good.

Baxter looked tidy when he came on, comfortable on the ball.

Friendlies are never easy to judge players on, especially games like today and Bury last week. Hopefully by the Malaga game we’ll have a few new additions and the players will have one eye on starting in the Arsenal game.

Always nice to win though.

Nick V... I also am in Oz and last year had the same poor EvertonTV experience. I was criticised on this site merely for voicing a complaint about the service. Most critics said I should be satisfied with player interviews etc but I am not interested in that kind of juvenile tittle tattle.

As all Aussie ex-pats are aware, we get fantastic coverage of the Premier League plus foriegn competitions. My 12-month subscription to Everton TV was solely for our European games. I was bitterly dissapointed to find they were not available outside the UK. As a result, I cancelled my subscription.
