Ticket Rottweilers

Comments (12)

Having arranged a trip to Portugal months ago, I was delighted when we were drawn to play Benfica there in the same week. What luck! All I need is a ticket.

So I did what it said on the website and applied. I was told yesterday that there was a ticket for me. I rang up and arranged to collect it today (Thursday). I was told to ring before setting out to check that the ticket was ready. I did this and was told sorry, the ticket can't be processed until Saturday am. Well I'm going Sat very early so that's no good.

I asked why I could not pick it up before that and was passed over to a female 'supervisor'. This woman talked rapid fire, not letting me get a word in and when I finally did, she told me to stop interrupting and talking over her! Incredible! I did get to put my case but she remained rude, aggressive and completely unhelpful.

No, the ticket would not be 'processed' until Saturday as they were doing it on a points basis, highest points first and so on. This despite the fact that according to the website, there are enough tickets for all those who applied. So why can't a ticket be handed over to a customer who wants to pay for it and turns up at the box office to collect it?

Unbelievable way to run a business. I'll be there anyway and will get a ticket locally and sit with the Benfica fans. So up yours box office!

The box office at Goodison is useless, no that's giving them some credence. They are worse than useless but no wonder when Gobshite Kopites are employed there. Can you believe Everton would employ RS fans to work in ther ticket office???

Steve, well yes I can believe that. So you are saying that anyone that supports Liverpool shouldn’t be able to work at Goodison ParK and you call them Gobshites. That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

I recently went down so I could change my season tickets to another part of the ground and the staff could not have been more helpful. The manageress personally took half an hour out with me to go into the stands and look at specific seats and generally made sure I was happy with the outcome.

I asked her how was business and she said they are run off their feet, with not only tickets for Benefica but sales of the half season season tickets and a host of other sales. So I suggest you give them a break. Like most of us they are overworked and underpaid. By the way, she was a Blue, Mr Sweeney.

If you employ RS then they’re not going to care about the tickets getting to people in the right manner and on time compared to a blue. That’s because if I was in the RS box office, I’d burn the fucker down.

Peter, I picked up 2 tickets this morning for Benfica from Goodison that I now can’t use. I’m at work all day but if you post a contact number, I’ll get back to you and you can have them face value if we meet up later.

Peter, I have to say I think it’s fairly reasonable that they are making tickets available in that way so as to avoid 3000 blues turning up at once and overwhelming the box office. Unfortunate in your situation that they weren’t willing to make an exception — but then I guess if you start making exceptions to rules like that it becomes very difficult not to change them for everyone.

Anyway, I’m very happy with the service from the box office on this one — heard by phone a couple of days back that I had a ticket, and because I live down south and can’t therefore go to collect, they are sending by recorded post to my workplace. In fact in my experience our box office staff have always been very helpful and accomodating.

I went to Werder Bremen vs Athletic Club with my girlfriend who supports Athletic. If you think Everton is bad, you should hear this.

The club organised 3 coaches to travel from Bilbao to Paris, Brugge then Bremen. Leaving on the Monday morning. They only released the tickets to the fans at noon that day!

Not sure how they all managed to get tickets. I noticed despite all tickets being purchased in advance only about half the away end was taken up. But then there was hundreds of Athletic fans in one of the Bremen sections.

Everton or Liverpool fans, the point is that the way the staff treat the very people who pay their wages is a disgrace.

These people have no customer service skills. Sometimes they can't do things for us but its' not hard to do it in a nice positive way.

If they want to work in a environment that involves speaking with customers then show some respect.

Alan Rawlinson - thanks very much for that offer. I am in the Wirral area now but have to leave for London later this evening. My number is 07504058541. If you are anywhere near I’ll give it a go, if not, thanks again but time is short.

Reading this, a thought struck me: we might have poor customer service at the club but in Alan & Paul we have some great fans who are, in the words of Maccy Ds "happy to help".

So stop moaning and take them up on their offers; problem solved.
