Cahill Approaches 50

I'm sure some of you die-hard stattoes are well aware that Tim Cahill is just 2 goals away from scoring 50 in all competitions for Everton, it would be great to let him know by reminding him of this from the terraces when he achieves this feat!
I have fond memories of his derby goals! What would be his best goal for us??

That last-minute overhead kick at Chelsea is fondly remembered by me.
I think I am correct in saying that he has scored against all 4 of the SKY 4 teams and has a better goals-to-games ratio in the Prem than Lampard or Gerrard, albeit in far less games.
I’m worried about him. Have we seen the best of him ? His best goal for me will definitely be his next one
The one at Anfield last year in the League!
After that the one at Sunderland away on New Year’s Eve right at the end when we won 1-0.
He should already be on 51 now after two sitters against Stoke and one yesterday!
Don't worry about Tim, he’ll be on 50 goals in no time, especially when Pienaar and Bily are in the same side putting in crosses from both sides. And if Arteta can get back soon, it wouldn't surprise me if Tim reaches double figures by the end of the season.
The one that will always stick in my mind is the one he scored against Newcastle on our last home game of the season to effectively secure 4th place for us.
A drop of the shoulder and a twat of a shot... liquid football!
Ian, I certainly won't be worried if Arteta, Billy and Pienarr are fit and in the side, we won't need to carry Cahill.
I disagree Dave — we will need Cahill for his goals. Those three players you mentioned do not carry the same goal threat and nobody else in midfield, including Fellaini / Bily, in my view, does. We’ve lost Lescott’s goals and I don’t see the back four chipping in with many.
His goal against Chelsea was good; thing about Cahill is, unless he is scoring or fouling, you never notice him on the pitch!!!
Peter McHugh, Lescott scored 5 goals in all competitions last season. Yobo has 2, Distin 1 and Baines 1 already.
The way he’s going I’m hoping he manages to achieve this landmark this season!
Ste - what is the point you’re trying to make. That the defence is going to suddenly start scoring a load of goals. Baines has scored about twice for us in his whole career, Distin about twice in 4 seasons and Yobo usually gets about 2 a season.
the point I was making, as you appear to have mssed it, is that we’ve already taken 5 goals out the team by Lescott moving and having Cahill out will mean more goals taken out and therefore, I fail to see how Cahill could be dropped once the other players DW mentions are fit
