Matchday thread!
Tell you what folks, I’ll be much more confident if we pick up three points today. Wolves are 2 up against Burnley, if we lose the table then looks pretty grim for us.
And Billy has inspired some confidence!
Get in!
Any links??? Couldn’t get there today.
Even radio will do - cancelled Everton TV too!!!
Just about to say the same thing... fuckin shitty weather! Get in there Bill lad!
www.iraqgoals.net has a couple of links, not great quality tho
http://www.rajangan.net/template_live.php?ida=4979
Saha just had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside. I’m watching it on http://iraqgoals.net/4555-everton-fc-vs-birmingham-city-.html but it’s shit quality.
Rubbish offside decision against Saha.
Links for todays game:
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=58870∂=sports
skysports one seems good quality so far
We’re right up for it today!
http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/sun20.12/Everton_Birmingham.html
Looking good so far.....!
http://www.iraqgoals.net/4555-everton-fc-vs-birmingham-city-.html
only one i can find, we are all over them, best start to any game this season, could be three up, one ruled of by saha for offside, was clear on...
COME on the BLUES
We really are up for it today! If we continue like this we are gonna get a hatful!
Gotta get a second goal when were this much on top.Pienaar is flying!Best 10 mins of the season.
We’re playing well, its been coming for weeks; just my luck as this is the 1st home game I’ve missed relatives over for Chrissy (and I wish they would f--k off) so I’m like a little boy sneaking off to keep gtabs on the game; thanks for the link
Anyone got better site to watch on?
Thought i would just mention to all those who think injury to key players is no excuse for bad results, even the mighty Man Utd are showing what a struggle it is when they lose a few players to injury. Theres nothing sir Alex can do, so why should Moyes and Everton be any different?
Sopcast - sop://60.191.221.56:3912/82138
Good coverage and English commentry
Colin agree with you there not seen Everton open a game like this for well.... a long time!
Links in case anyone missed them:
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=58870&part=sports
skysports link is good so far
Un bloody believable, we look like we are going to run away with it.
Started like a steam train today!
The iraqui goals has just downed tools but what I’ve seen we’re playing really well
We look great so far... could have had 5!!!
The lucky buggers have equalised. Come on Everton, keep at them.
Have been arsing around to get a link up and running since kick off, and the moment I do its a Brum goal... nuts.
Fellaini at fault there for not following his man!!Should be 3 up and now 1-1..unreal!
Well that was fun while it lasted. Arse.
Never mind dominating for 20 minutes, defend like that and we are going down, especially with the likes of Pompey and Wolves winning.
Come on Blues, show some spirit!
Fuckin piss poor refs this game should at least be 2-0.
I can't believe they have equalised. If we don't win this we are in trouble.
how can you say show some spirit?? thats exactly what they have been doing, we have been awesome for 20 mins, they get a goal and all doom and gloom comes back... give the lads a chance!!!
Why is Heitinga determined to thump the ball 80 yards across to Bily, when he’s already marked?
Phil? You can’t believe they’ve equalised? Have you been following Everton lately? When was the last time we held onto a lead in the league for any length of time?
Its frustrating beyond belief. I honestly cannot remember the last time we kept a clean sheet in the league.
The good thing about the Neil-Heitinga centre back pairing is we have two players comfortable on the ball. Fewer hoofs today
This is one of those games where one team has all the chances but fails to score then regrets it when the other team scores out of nothing.
The worrying thing is that after 5 wins on the trot Birmingham’s confidence will be sky high. Their equaliser will only increase their confidence.
Everton on the other hand haven’t won at home since September. Will that start to play on the players mind? How much has the equaliser dented our fragile confidence?
Has anyone else noticed that Everton never do anything easy?
Wolves and Portsmouth have won with Wigan and Bolton playing each other today we can expect one of them to win as well.
Its getting very tight down here at the bottom. We simply must beat Birmingham.
Come on you blues.
Ashley, Fair point I wasn’t suggesting they hadn’t shown some spirit so far (although I accept that’s how my post might have come across) just that they needed to show some more.
I should point out that I wasn’t one of those on here on Friday criticising the limitations of the young players. I want Everton to do well as much as anyone.
Forget the clean sheet now, we need to get another and get our chins up again, pass and move,
Anyone have a better feed than vshare? ... this one sure is choppy.
Michael,
one thing in the last few games we can't say about these lads is they lack spirit, they have shown loads, specially to get a 3-3 draw at Chelsea.
Don't get me wrong, I get frustrated too, and I want Everton to win every game, but we seem to be heading in the right direction so far....
And dare I say, and I'm sure I will be shot, Osman seems to be playing well so far...
Right on Peter. We need 3 point regardless of how it’s done!
If anything we are over complicating things! Twice on the edge of the two and failed to shoot. Saha then Pienaar. Frustrating.
The problem is that although it was the young players against Bate it was still Everton and yet another loss for Everton.
Our form:-
Played: 15
Won: 2
Lost: 8
Drawn: 5
If we fail to beat Birmingham we really are in the shit.
Ashley,
Just to reiterate, the spirit has been good for the last few games, we’re just lacking a solid defence — six goals in less than 2½ games is not a good return, is it?
Had to battle back against Chelsea and Spurs and can’t hold out Brum. Let’s face it, that was a shite goal to concede. OK so we should be two up (Saha never offside) but now we’re back to square one.
COYB!
Still complete domination but shite final pass.
Joey, if you have Sopcast, this is a fairly smooth stream, (although the commentary’s not in English):
sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/74176
Never thought I'd hear the words.. Everton and over complicating things! lol
I think we have turned into Arsenal and trying to score a perfect goal?! lol
we are playing well, and I think we will get more goals.... if we can stop them scoring more, that's a different matter.
Aiden, this is English commentry on Sopcast
sop://60.191.221.56:3912/82138
Remember when we mugged West Ham and Portsmouth? What goes round comes round... I’ve a bad feeling today, hope to feck I’m wrong as the table an upcomming fixtures don’t look great!!
Am I alone in thinking that's our best midfield with the exception of Arteta in for Osman? So, along with Howard, Baines, Heitinga and Saha, we're only missing Neville (rb) Jags (ch) and Arteta (cm) from our strongest 11?
Should have scored there. 3 in the Box Osman’s cross hit the first man. Rubbish! He has played well though to be fair.
That Dann fella is acting like a total prick so far. Just watch him score the winner!
Thanks Aiden but my mac can’t use sopcast ha. Collin... you’re probably right but those are a big three missing!
Great Everton performance, shite scoreline.
Good coverage on http://www.iraqgoals.net/4555-everton-fc-vs-birmingham-city-.html
Joey, I’m on a mac and that one is working great for me.
Half time now though.
Bugger. I’ll be upgrading to a Mac in the New Year. Looks like I’ll have to keep the PC for matchdays.
Birmingham look complete rubbish not sure how they have got so high up!
Yeah it was a sad realization when I got this... I used to be an avid sopcast user.
Birmingham have numbers back at all times, they keep their shape, wait for our predictably soft lobbed crosses, then wait for the counter-attack.
Sopcast never works for me ever. Im using http://www.veetle.com/viewChannel.php?cid=4b28a455797d9 its a bit foreign but its alright, better than irag goals and plays full screen. You need to download the IE add on.
http://www.iraqgoals.net/ch4.html
So far working well.. better than vshare for me.
Tale of two halves, we can’t get our foot on the ball at the moment.
Good stream
http://www.veetle.com/viewChannel.php?cid=4b28a455797d9
Ossie playing really well, looks like the enforced break has done him good... he looks lively. I back him to nick the next goal.
I’m getting inpatient. I want Yakubu and Coleman on
This is shit.
Why cant we win at home anymore?
I’m telling you now with the fixtures we have over the next couple of months if we don’t beat Birmingham today we are in serious trouble.
Are we this season's Newcastle?
I disagree....we’ll score here
Pace. Direct running at players. We lack these.
Really concerned at the moment. We look dreadful this half.
I think we’re playing well. It’s just a bit too much elaboration and not enough attacking from our full-backs. For this system to work we need attacking FBs.
Think Osman is having a good game.
On the other hand I’m crapping myself everytime they attack (which is not often); our defence looks like it's made of glass.
I’m with you on that view Nick
Get Billy off and Coleman on!

Why can we never find space??!!
Why would Hibbert keep his place after Coleman’s performance vs Spurs? Everything breaks down with him - and this has been one of his better days.
Feed the Yak and he will score
Sunderland (a)
We won’t win here they are too good at home.
Burnley (h)
If we haven’t won at home since September whats the chances of us drawing this one.
Arsenal (a)
This is another loss.
Man City (h)
Roberto Mancini will be enjoying a honeymoon period and possibly they will have some new big money signings. Don’t fancy this one. Could be a draw.
Sunderland (h)
Surely this one we will win. Are we going to have to wait until the end of January for next home win though?
Wigan (a)
Probably a loss.
Liverpool (a)
Loss.
Chelsea (h)
Loss.
Man Utd (h)
Loss.
Tottenham (a)
Loss.
We are fucked if we don’t score a winner against Birmingham.
We need to up the pace. A point is not good enough
Dick, you’ve made your point. Now stop being a broken fuckin record!!
Fuckin wasteful again from Peinaar. Totally clueless the lot of em.
Dick cheer up its Everton get used to it
Please score Everton... please score.
Yak for Bily was a bad substitution. Midfield is unbalanced now.
Giles Larkman
I’d be more less worried about my comments and more concerned about this shit Everton team which hasn’t won at home since September.
I haven’t been this concerned for our Premiership status since Howard Kendall’s third spell in charge.
how fucking frustrating..
Come on, something has got to fall for us. These dirty Brummies (tongue in cheek from me!) are resilient I’ll give them that.
Hey DICK there’s a game on... watch it! And shut your mouth.
I’m afraid we could be here all night and still wont get the second..
we have created chances. Just haven’t been able to score.
it happens unfortunately
Come on Everton...fuckin score!
Dick, I understand your point. But you keep saying it again, and again, and again.......
back in the day, avoiding relegation was our speciality!!
Does that mean if we score a winner Dick, we’ll go on and beat all the rest.
Everton 1 - 6 Arsenal
Everton 1 - 1 Stoke
Everton 1 - 1 Wolves
Everton 0 - 2 Benfica
Everton 0 - 2 Liverpool
Everton 0 - 1 Bate
Everton 1 - 1 Birmingham
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.
Something has to change things cant go on like this. We were established as the 5th best team in the Premiership.
What the fuck happened?
How has it come to this? We should be destroying teams like this regardless of form. Fuckin rubbish.
DICK GO ROOT FOR UNITED THEN!
Goal attempts 19-2, come on Everton
We need that Carsley moment, That last minute screamer. I’m praying!
At least West Ham are winning.
Thats Wolves, Portsmouth and now possibly West Ham winning.
Can’t believe its Christmas and Wolves are above us. How crap is that.
I agree with Dick. I was watching Sunday Supplement this morning and it broke my heart as they were going on about teams breaking the top 4 and we didnt get a single mention....Terrible this. More points pissed away....Terrible simply terrible.....I
we are crapping all over them. The commentator in the first half said he couldn’t remember the last time he had seen a team in as complete domination as Everton.
We are just not putting it in the back of the net. But we are creating.
Saha - what’s he doing - everything is high
Why are we keeping 6 ot 7 back when Howard has the ball?
Why take off Osman (who has played well) and leave on Cahill (who is injured)?!?
Criminal result. Only ourselves to blame though for being piss poor in front of goal.
Errrrr.....what sort of sub was that? Surely if he was going to do that he should have done it 15 minutes ago? Truley baffling.
This makes no fucking sense. We’re banging long balls into the box - yet Cahill and Fellaini are playing in the centre circle. Someone use their fucking brain can they?
Relegation fodder. Fuckin abysmal.
It’s alright we have Landon Donavon coming in January!
Wrtetched in the last 3rd today
Everton 1 - 1 Birmingham
Fucking awful result.
Fuck David Moyes.
Fuck those shitty players.
I’m off to try and forget Everton. I’m going to spend the next week ignoring all things blue and try to enjoy my Christmas before Sunderland beat us on Boxing Day and ruin it.
Fuckin useless wankers.
Garbage that. We need a miracle this season to survive. There are no rose tinted glasses with the "we created a load of chances" brigade. Goals win games and we dont score enough. Bottom line, we’re shit.
Cost me a fucking long odds multibet as well that.
Brilliant for 20 minutes... then lost their bottle... the less said about the last 20 the better.
I am so rueing that disallowed Saha goal.
Played well, but no killer instinct.
Jesus Ste get a grip. We need a miracle to survive? Really? We just completely dominated that game against a side in the top 10 unbeaten in 5.
FFS we’re a good team we’re just low on confidence and form. That’s why we don’t have that killer instinct at the moment.
To claim we need a miracle to survive is laughable.
No killer instinct? It was there against Spurs and Chelsea when we converted the few chances we had. Well, even I now accept we are fighting relegation. And this year, 40pts may not be enough.
This season has been a complete and utter shambles. This is supposed to be the best side we have had in years. Where has the passion and commitment gone?
We do not need a miracle. We just need the other shittier teams than us to be more shittier. Sorry for being so technical.
Dick, having disagreed with your last post, "getting scary", I’m now in full agreement with you. I don’t just think we’re in a relegation fight, I think we’re going down. This game was the one to show we’ve turned the corner having come back against Tottenham and Chelsea. We’ve turned no corners, we just continue to slide downwards.
Even though we’ve attacked more today we were still totally ineffective. 19 shots on goal and 1 goal, nice one Moyes.
Geoff, I honestly cant see where our next points are coming from. All the other shit teams are pulling results out and we cant even win at home.
I agree that this season has been a shambles and as ive previously stated I wont accept ’injuries’ as the core reason. Moyes is the core reason... clueless... fucking clueless
Geoff Edwards
Wake up son.
Its Christmas and Everton are a point from the relegation zone.
We haven’t won at home since fucking September.
Take a long hard look at the upcoming fixtures and its almost impossible to us winning 3 games before March.
For awhile now people have been saying if Everton aren’t careful they could be involved in the relegation scrap.
Well that time has come and gone. We are in the relegation fight and I hate to say it but we are in serious trouble.
"19 shots on goal and 1 goal, nice one Moyes".
How is that Moyes’s fault? is he supposed to get out on the pitch and convert the chances himself?
Jesus Christ! How fucking desperate and dire was that!!! 17 points behind Villa dn 15 behind Spurs with not even half the season gone. Absolute pig shit! Can’t see even a top half finish this year, very painful.
Can anyone imagine Moyes manager at Man City, fuck lasting 18 months he’d be booted out after 18 minutes!!
Its time for these players to show some pride. I care little for Birminghams form. They were absolutely shocking. Even with our injuries we should beat these.
Geoff Edwards, It's not impossible for us to win anygame but you have to look at it realisitically and accept that Sunderland are very good at home and we will ’probably’ come away from that game empty handed.
It's possible we could beat Burnley and Man City at home but at best thats two wins over the next two months.
Chances are we wont get more then the odd point from the games against Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs.
I made the point earlier in the week (
Getting Scary) and this awful result against Birmingham has only confirmed my worst fears.

Indeed
Everything hurts... that is the title of Joey Brown’s post-match Mailbag thread, where this discussion continues....
Geoff, don’t be a dick, hey? This is Moyes’s squad and Moyes’s team. He’s 8th in the spending league. He’s outspent the likes of Birmingham, Wolves, Stoke and Burnley yet we’re sat lower than all of these teams after half the season.
The thing is, we’ll get to see where your misplaced optimism gets us because Moyes is going nowhere. This is as shit as we’ve ever been yet there are far too many Evertonians that are unwilling to accept it.
