This is starting to annoy me now because it's sooooo unnecessary and also stereotypical.

Is Jo's first name (nickname as I know they have different long real names) "Brazilian"? Every Nyany interview etc Moyes always calls him "Brazilian Jo... isnt it just Jo? It's not just Moyes either. I'm sure pundits do it too.

We know who Jo is, what's this Brazilian Business all about? Arrgghh... eerrr... hhaarghhhhh....

Good point, Michael, I think if he didn’t have to play alongside shite players like Hibbert & Osman, he would be Pele, Rinaldo & Zico rolled into one!

Jay - be careful about the state of the dog’s bollox while Ellen has waxing in mind.

And there has long been an English usage convention of calling males Joe and females Jo, which is why (excuse me), the Brazilian Jô has that circumflex over the ’o’.

Personally I would rather call him Joao Alves.

Don’t know about calling him "Jo", I would just call him " " as that describes the impact he has on most games.
