Apparently we're in discussions with Huntelaar. He wants to go out on loan from AC Milan to try get into the Netherlands squad for the World Cup.

Yakubu before his injury and Saha when fit are both better than Huntelaar, certainly if you add the "getting used to the premiership"-factor.
But still, a very good striker, deadly in front of the goal. He really needs to get the ball in the box though, don’t expect him to beat defenders with silky skills.
I guess he is even eligible to play in Europe. Would like to see him come. He will be very motivated because it looks like he won’t make it in the Holland first team for the World Championships right now. Let’s hope he proves his point with 20 goals ;-)

If so, how did Huntelaar do at Ajax? I’ve heard lots of people say how great he is but then all I actually know of him is that he’s warmed the bench at Real Madrid and AC Milan. It seems to be a very modern career, players like him bloody well should sign for a team like us and actually play football rather than watch it.

Huntelaar scored for fun at Ajax. He did ok for Madrid in half a year, but Madrid started their spending spree and he had to go. I think he’s just not good enough for the real world class teams. I would like him at Everton but for longer as half a year. I think he needs to adapt to the Premier League.
He will score goals, no doubt, but don’t think he is the typical Moyes-kind of striker. Then again, both Saha and the Yak aren’t either.

Big fan of the Hunter, he did score for fun at Ajax, I also think he held his own at Madrid; neglect was his only issue. Reminds me of Benzema’s situation right now... still awesome.
I also watched that Catania game were he nabbed a brace in the first seconds of coming on, and single handedly pulled 3 points for Milan out of his Dutch Master-ass.

Apparently he needs to be playing regularly to get into the Dutch national team for the World Cup, something that’s not happening at Milan. Would be a coup if it came off but standby by for ’Appy ’Arry to come swooping in.

I watched Leeds play Spurs last night. Beckford looks good but I would rather we signed Snodgrass — he looks a better player.
Sounds like that slime the lion out of the wizard of oz Arry is sniffing at him now, wonder if the tax man will get Arry first and if Louise and Jamie’s holiday adverts are them really popping abroad to deposit some money for him into an offshore bank
There's a good link on news now regarding Huntelaar and Everton, says he's going to sign for us this week, think there might be some truth in it?
I think he would most defiantly be worth a loan with an option to purchase. He played for "Heerenveen" in the 2004-05 season scoring 33 times in only 46 appearances. And his record at Ajax is 76 goals in 92! Also as Ryan said, he did hold his own at Madrid, netting 8 goals in 10 games. I think it would be a very exciting loan/signing.
'Voetball International' the top Dutch football magazine are claiming that Huntelaar will sign for Everton on loan this week. With Saha appearing to be on the way out and Yakubu no longer the force he was... this and the possibility of Beckford coming in the Summer means the future is bright, the future is orange.

According to Dutch journalist Johan Derksen, Klaas Jan Huntelaar is hoping to sign a loan deal with Everton by the end of the week. I studied a bit in the Netherlands, and Derksen has a fairly good reputation.
Saw a few games when he was at Ajax. Basically he was deployed in their traditional rigid 4-3-3 / 3-4-3 formation, with Huntelaar as the spearhead. Good thing that as he’ll be on his own in our lone striker role.

Surely we won't have the finances to bring Huntelaar in? He would be a massive coup for us.
