To be honest I think we should sell Pienaar now. He is a bit of a Jamie Redknapp. Injured a lot, small and gets lot of attention for all the long range shots that ALMOST go in but invariably hit the cross bar of skim past the post. I think this has been mentioned already, but we’re being out-Everton’d. Packing the midfield, closing men down quickly even in areas high up the field - sound familiar? We need someone to stretch the shape of this game, and a bit of pace and invention. All too square and predictable so far. Possession-wise we’re superior, but we can’t stay patient for too long. Who would you bring on as a wild-card?

I’ve praised Fellaini the last few weeks, and rightly so, but these are the games were he needs to earn his money. The defensive side of his game has been excellent of late, as shown against Arsenal and city, he was breaking up attack after attack in them 2 games, but he now needs to show the attacking side of his game, I reckon if he ups a couple of gears then we will have a chance, a few mths ago, I never thought I would be saying that about him.

Stewart: Given that Saha didn’t hang around and went straight into the dressing room, I would assume he’s either injured or on the way out.
You wouldn’t lose 80% of the games with the pressure we had in the second half. Today the percentages were against us. As other have said, lost the game in first half - much encouragement from the second half to carry on with next time - great to see Mikel back - and I can now reclaim a whole pile of Saturdays from my Calendar to do something less upsetting with. Yeah Rich, he made 3. Osman was the right one at half time, but unless Saha injured, should have been Vaughan for Cahill. And as others have alluded to, don’t think it was the right game for Arteta - especially against dirty bastards like Brum - how did they get away without a booking?
The first two substitutions were needed (assuming Saha was injured). Arteta shouldn’t really be on. I would have prefer Coleman with a little bit of pace down the right.

As for someone like Huntelaar... good in Holland, shite in Spain... and not doing fuck all in Italy and on £80k plus a week — sounds a gooood deal to me! When some people post logs do they realise we are not Chelski how the fuck are we going to pay wages like that?
