Can anybody tell me who we played in our first home game of the 85-86 season? If I remember rightly we played Leicester City away on the 1st game of the season and lost but who did we play the week later at home?

Walking from one one bar to another at around 9pm, well trolloyed, Tony stops these two blokes in the street and says well done for today lads. Just happened to be Gary McAllister and Ally Maclaughlin who'd both made their debuts for City that day. As they'd only just joined, they were trawling Leicester for a decent bar/club ? these days, the limo would be waiting after the game.
I remember we all taunted the Leicester fans because (does this remind you of anything?) we had come in as a big club and lured away their Gary Lineker. "You couldn't pay his wages" we sung..........
Then the fuckers beat us............!

It shows we lost 1-3 away to Leicester in the first game and won 2-0 against West Brom home in the second.
The season before was West Brom in the second game also but we lost that one.
Of particular note is the 51509 attendance for the derby at GP which as usual we lost 2-3.
