Endrick played less than 6 hours football last season and hasn't kicked a ball yet this. Can't see him hitting the ground running in the Premier League,

Richarlison is playing regular football at Spurs. Can't see how we could get him away from the club in January.

Zirkzee scored 3 in 32 appearances for Man Utd last season. It might put him ahead of Barry but would not seem to be an improvement on Beto, and I'm sure Utd would want a significant fee to get some money back.

I can't offer any alternatives myself but I'm sure there must be more realistic alternatives out there.

Firstly all of the players listed will likely be non-starters for various reasons

Barry was always likely to take 6 months to come up to speed

Beto has still to show last seasons promise

Ndiaye scored 10 goals and 11 assists in only 49 appearances as striker prior to joining Everton so were Dibling or McNeil to excel on the right then this can be another option for the manager

Finding a low cost alternative who can come in January with a Premier League track record will be a difficult enough assignment.

My guess is that we will sell Beto next summer to free up space, something which we should have done this summer when his stock was at it's highest

Especially given the fact that we lost Calvert-Lewin and it would have left us with no experienced Premier League striker if we were just signing players like Barry to replace them.

And in any case, I agree with Conor (we finally got there!) that these are generally non-starters - and also that Beto might be sold next summer. He did a decent job but he's not a very good footballer and we should be aiming for better than that now.

The only exception from the list might be Zirkzee -- although he's not really a striker. Wouldn't surprise me if we were to get him on loan in January. That said, it would squeeze Dewsbury-Hall and Alcaraz out of the picture (to the extent anyone is particularly bothered by that).

My guess is they won't be.

Why is he even on the list?

We've bought Barry, presumably with the plan to develop him over time. That's a plan we need to stick to. Otherwise which talented youngster will come here next? If he's not improved or settled at all by the end of the season that could be a different conversation but he needs a good chunk of time.
