Eric Myles 2 Posted 25/06/2025 at 15:30:27 Could both of these be involved in the African Nations Cup mid way through the season? Jim Harrison 3 Posted 25/06/2025 at 18:53:16 Ndidi wouldnt be a bad shout at 9 million. Would add some depth to squad at a relatively low cost. Bobby Mallon 4 Posted 25/06/2025 at 19:31:39 Eric well said. When are we going to sign a striker, Moyes??? Ryan Holroyd 5 Posted 25/06/2025 at 19:39:08 We're trying to sign Barry from Villarreal, Barry.Do you think Moyes is personally signing the players? Derek Knox 6 Posted 25/06/2025 at 20:17:39 So it could be Onyerbika to Onyerdika ? :-) John Williams 7 Posted 25/06/2025 at 20:20:03 We already have two or is it three players that could be off to the African Nations Cup in January 2026.Not sure we could afford to lose others to that competition. John Pickles 8 Posted 25/06/2025 at 20:27:50 No one's taking you up on player's name jokes today Derek, you're Onyerown. Neil Cremin 9 Posted 25/06/2025 at 23:22:28 Considering his performance for England U21 and not getting much playing time under slot, is Harvey Elliott worth considering? He certainly has an eye for goal.Ducking behind the parapet Derek Knox 10 Posted 26/06/2025 at 04:43:33 Good point Neil, I would have no qualms about signing a RS player, he is obviously talented, should he be available, and, at the right price. Lee Courtliff 12 Posted 26/06/2025 at 07:29:29 Harvey Elliott would be a player we'd all want us to sign if he was a fringe player at any other club. It doesn't bother me that he's one of them, but we've just signed Alcaraz so I'm not sure where he fits in?Neither of them are coming here to be squad players. And they'll probably demand something like £40M for him anyway (and the cnuts will get it too). Christy Ring 13 Posted 26/06/2025 at 07:46:33 Ndidi for £9m would be ideal, couldnt see Elliott coming here, would be a good addition, but wasnt he goading Doucoure about winning medals, even though he was on the bench, dont think hed switch to us, but hell be going somewhere Danny O'Neill 14 Posted 26/06/2025 at 08:08:09 Elliott is documented this month as having to reflect on his career as he doesn't want to be "wasting years" and is considering leaving Liverpool.Although he confesses to supporting them, he is from Surrey, so I doubt that would come into it.But as Lee says, we have Alcaraz and Ndiaye in those positions.I wouldn't turn my nose up, but given the price they would command if they decided to part ways, we can get better value elsewhere. Edward Rogers 15 Posted 26/06/2025 at 08:22:00 Lee @12£40m for Elliott? They 'll want more than that. If they sold the Tea-lady they'd ask for £25m ( and some idiot club would probably pay it!)The older I get, the more I despise that lot Lester Yip 16 Posted 26/06/2025 at 08:30:45 No brainer for $9m who we know can do the job in EPL. Mike Walker 17 Posted 26/06/2025 at 08:49:21 Well, I was hoping under the new owner we will be buying some quality, but it seems we are going for old players that no one wants, or has-beens… It's not looking good. Stu Darlington 18 Posted 26/06/2025 at 08:49:55 Looks like both these could be non starters for us, as strong rumours link Ndidi with interest from Man United and Onyedika with West Ham.Pity if we miss out on Onyedika particularly with Idrissa Gueye stalling on a new contract. He is the kind of player who looks like he could fill a similar kind of role to Gueye with the added advantage of being a lot youngerI hope we dont get sucked into Gueyes timeline and let things drift on to see if he can get a deal that suits him better and if not signing late on in the window. That leaves us with no wiggle room,so Id be up for giving him a deadline, sign by a certain date or the deal is off the table! Mike Powell 19 Posted 26/06/2025 at 13:02:39 We are linked with Ndidi every transfer window, so wouldn't read to much into it. Jake FitzGerald 20 Posted 26/06/2025 at 14:28:44 Its 6 weeks til the season starts - and roughly that amount of new signings needed. Better get a wriggle on - starting next Monday. Christy Ring 21 Posted 26/06/2025 at 15:08:27 Jake #20 I reckon theres a few deals in the pipeline JJake, from 1st July, new financial year. Eric Myles 22 Posted 26/06/2025 at 15:15:31 Derek #10, Johnny Morissey springs to mind! Paul Kossoff 23 Posted 26/06/2025 at 15:55:12 Everton and Manchester United are both interested in Leicester's Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, 28, who has a reported £9m relegation release clause. (Talksport.Everton have started negotiations with La Liga club Villarreal over the signing of 22-year-old French forward Thierno Barry and have not ruled out paying his £34m release clause. (ESPN)Everton are still hopeful of signing Kenny Tete on a free transfer despite reports Fulham have offered the 29-year-old Netherlands right-back a new contract. (Independent, external)We better get a move on.League Two side Accrington Stanley at Wham Stadium on Tuesday 15 July. Blackburn rovers 19th July. AFC Bournemouth at New Jerseys MetLife Stadium on Saturday 26 July, before playing West Ham United at Chicagos Soldier Field four days later (Wednesday 30 July). The pre-season tournament will conclude with a game between Everton and Manchester United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday 3 August. Jake FitzGerald 24 Posted 26/06/2025 at 16:03:45 Thats precisely what I mean, Christy - Im hoping for announcements next week - Barry and Tete for starters. Kevin Molloy 25 Posted 26/06/2025 at 16:15:45 if we have to step in and put West Ham's overtures to Raphael quietly to bed it will send Claret and Booze into further paroxysms of despair, so I'm in. Robert Tressell 26 Posted 26/06/2025 at 16:38:12 I haven't really followed Ndidi for a while but hasn't he seriously gone off the boil since initial very good form at Leicester (which dates back about 4 years now)?Onyedika is a good player, from a very well put together Brugge side that had a number of quality player.Harvey Elliot would be a good buy - and I've mostly seen him as CAM or RW for the England U21s (and he fills in a variety of positions for the RS). £40M (really not an especially big fee these days) would be the going rate for someone of that class. Ed Prytherch 27 Posted 30/06/2025 at 00:25:26 We all know what we would be getting with Harvey Elliott, I would love to see him at Everton. There is more uncertainty with players from other leagues.
