The Mail Bag

Advice, please

I am taking my son to his first Toffees game on the 21st against Wolves. Now, I am asking for advice because I would like him to grab a few autographs if possible when the players get to the ground.

Does anyone know the best place and time to get out side the ground so he can see some of his (and mine) heroes? Many thanks for those that can help.

Your best off getting there a couple of hours before kick off. And they enter in near the box office, they pull up in there cars there, and most of them sign a few autographs on the way in. The last time i did this though was a couple of years ago. But i think its all still the same.

Yep its still the same... car park behind Park End. They all come in about 1.30 ish so as Josh said, get there a couple of hours before KO. Just about all of the lads stop and sign autographs for the kids, so you'll get a few.

Hope they put on a good performance for your son's first game!

Still the case between 2 hours and an hopur and a half befor ethe match, they will all be arriving. All stop for a photo and autograph

Yes two hours before should be ample, but remember its first game of season so it may vary slightly.

Outside the Park End to the left of the mox office the players enter or just wait by the fences by the car park.

Take it from me, our players and idols are a credit to Everton Football Club and all the ideals that any sane supporter especially those with young children could ask for. I read some misinformed idiots comments on here once and i would have happilly strangled him in his comment that the players dont care and are this that and the other.

I implore you to visit the players car park about two hours before the game, it is between Bullens and the Park stand.

Instead of all the negative whinging that goes on, enjoy our glorious players smiling, signing autographs and posing for photos as they arrive looking like what they are.

I once got James Beattie to pose for a photo and the next home game got him to sign it. Another time Joey Yobo waited for photos and when my camera stuck he tried to fix it.

The players are a credit to the club and really can not do enough to help.

I hope that you can get there for a fabulous experience and for those who whinge and complain about how these supposed "Superstars" behave, get your selves down there and buy yourselves a humble pie on the way.

Mikel Arteta ruffled my (then) 8 year old son's hair and it took me an hour to get his jaw back to normal and three weeks to get him to wash his hair !!
Get there for one o-clock and take your camera mate!
