Everton join the pack chasing Butland

25/01/2012 | Comments (11)
Everton have joined the rest of the known universe in tracking Birmingham's highly-rated goalkeeper, Jack Butland.

Earlier this month, Tottenham were linked with a £2m for the player who was watched by representatives from 52 different clubs at one recent fixture.

In addition to Everton, Southampton are mentioned as possible suitors for Butland in the Mail's report.

Not going to get too annoyed at this...I'll simply opt to believe this is just media rubbish.

If in fact we do sign ANOTHER this year and pay anywhere near £2 million, I'll just about hang up my hat and call it a day for the rest of the season.

we need more defenders and more goalkeepers - you shower are such moaning malcontent minnies - at least one more goalie (and here's a star for the future; he don't need to play for at least 3 years in the 1st team) - and then we need a sprightly right back - we defo need left back cover for LB - and, I think that In Moyes We Trust/Believe is, rightly so, thinking about a least one centre half, my guess is that it will be a spring chicken 30 something on loan - stopping goals going in wins games - did any of you ever go to school?

We don't need more goalies! We have Howard, Mucha, Hahnemann and the reserve keeper ? that should be more than enough!

What we do need is a striker or 3!

It has happened too many times this season where we concede and then struggle to get back into a game purely because we don't have strikers. The whole team is frightened to make a mistake and it shows.

Yeah right Paul that'd be a fourth choice keeper and all those Moyes hard-on specials - defenders. A little reminder about this game called football, if you don't score any goals at the very best you get a draw, you need to actually put the ball into the other team's net which should be the job of something called a striker.

Bearing mind that Mucha wants to leave and Hahnemann is knocking on a bit, I think it is right to look at a new young goalie. Paul is right about the FB situation too. Look how many attacks/crosses Baines puts in. Trouble is we need at least one new $10m level striker as well.

Start at the back and build has got to be the way. Look at Kevin Keegan's methods!! Not particularly successfulI. I would rather have 0-0, 1-0 than losing 4-3 every week!
