Everton U18s comeback to beat Leeds Utd at Finch Farm
Everton U18s 4 - 2 Leeds Utd U18s
Everton U18s came back from going two goals down to beat Leeds Utd at Finch Farm today in the U18 Premier League.
Today's visitors sit in 13th place at the bottom of the North division but are only 5 points behind the Young Toffees in mid-table, looking to bounce back from their loss at leaders Manchester City last weekend – their first league defeat in 5 months.
Another new player, Aled Thomas – the 40th used so far by Leighton Baines in his U18 squad this season – was a starter for this one. But the young and perhaps less-experienced blues gave up a goal in the first half and went further behind after the break.
Martin Sherif started the comeback with a goal after 68 minutes and he equalized with little more than 10 minutes to go.
Jack Butler pounced a minute later to give the Blues the lead and Jacob Beaumont-Clark provided the icing on the cake with a fourth Everton goal in added time.
Everton U18s: Jensen, Maher, Thomas, Jones [Y:60'], Van Schoor, Bates, Patterson (46' Djankpata), Beaumont-Clark, Ebere (67' Butler), Barker (69' Cahill), Sherif.
Subs: G Pickford, Morgan.

We went two down after 50 minutes .
Everton then emphatically hit back in the last quarter of the game , with two goals from Sherif a third from Butler then an injury time goal from Beaumont-Clark.
FT Everton 4 Leeds 2
An excellent comeback .
This gives Martin Sherif 12 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches this season . Impressive.

Not sure who is most likely from this U18 group although saw very brief cameos from Djankpata who seems to have ability and personality too.

Leeds have lost every away game this season with 27 goals conceded. They have just taken the lead, 0-1. We'll be back though and win this game, but I'm off out now so can't continue reporting.
