Disclaimer () Kunal Desai 1 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:14:25 Curious to know if the matchday routine for some will still remain the same by heading to the likes of the Winslow and other venues around Goodison for their pre-match and post-match drinks and meetups? If Aznou doesn't make it, I'd stick with Garner at left-back. Change the formation with Grealish on the left and Ndiaye on the right. Alcaraz behind Barry. Stuart Sharp 2 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:25:07 Just noticed something online about Grealish being injured. I'm not on social media – anyone seen anything? Derek Knox 3 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:29:37 Kunal, I know some of the pubs that regulars used to frequent on Walton Road and County Road, are putting coaches or transport on to Hill Dickinson Stadium on matchday. I assume it is for those who will go in plenty of time, or give notice, well prior to the match, so they know how many to cater for. James Marshall 4 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:33:42 Stuart - I can't find anything regarding any injury for Grealish online at all. Kunal Desai 5 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:34:31 Good to know, Derek. At least that nostalgic feeling will still be around going from the old ground to the new ground on matchdays. Rob Halligan 6 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:40:19 Stuart, if you saw something online about Grealish being injured, what site where you looking at? Stuart Sharp 7 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:49:23 It was a post on X and a post on some other website saying he was out for tomorrow. Probably just nonsense, but couldn't access either site. Colin Malone 8 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:51:53 Unfortunately, the main question is transport. I cannot get over the organisation of the of the parking around Bramley-Moore Dock. If you stand still long enough, the council will nail a permit sign on you. Wednesday night, 10 pm, after the game, Sandhills is a disaster waiting to happen. I would like to see drone footage of areas around the ground where this idiot of a council has put unnecessary permits at the time of match play. At the moment, fans are crammed in a sardine tin. People on megabucks, couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Let's not wait for something to happen before you sort it out. John Hall 9 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:52:49 Was it from 'the mole' Stuart? :) James Marshall 10 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:52:55 Stuart - I've scoured X, no sign of any such post. Ernie Baywood 11 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:54:53 I can't believe he'll start Tim in midfield again. Dewsbury-Hall would be by far the better option, unless McNeil slots into left-back allowing Garner to move into midfield. Back half of the team is all about making a couple of decisions, neither of which are particularly enjoyable. The setup further up the pitch provides a bit more by way of options. Stuart Sharp 12 Posted 23/08/2025 at 14:59:45 Ok, thanks folks. I was just searching transfer news, and in the wee banner of what is 'trending', there were two seemingly independent posts on different platforms saying the same thing. Presumably nonsense, but that's how I first noticed something about Branthwaite too. Derek Knox 13 Posted 23/08/2025 at 15:00:49 Slightly off topic, just watched the Man City v Spurs game, in which City were outplayed and beaten by Spurs. Not the point I was about to make. Thomas Frank was interviewed post-match and he said he never uses social media. It is a dangerous source of mainly gossip and rumours with an occasional factual comment. Which usually gets buried among the detritus! Stuart Sharp 14 Posted 23/08/2025 at 15:00:56 PSOne post is still there - by Steve Brown OBE. James Marshall 15 Posted 23/08/2025 at 15:16:47 Stuart - having looked at his X page, it appears to be a joke. A spoof account talking utter nonsense about all sorts of things. He has posts about the RS buying Michael Keane as their pursuit of Mark Guehi is not happening. It's a fake news/joke account mate. Stuart Sharp 16 Posted 23/08/2025 at 15:37:34 Thanks James! Just one of the many reasons I'm not on social media... sorry for wasting people's time. Mike Owen 18 Posted 23/08/2025 at 20:06:52 Colin, #8, I share your concerns about the transport issues. Tomorrow will be the first proper test event of the transport, with everyone leaving at much the same time. The weather is forecast to be good tomorrow, so plenty will be happy to walk from and to town, freeing up space on the trains and buses. That won't be the case later in the season when it's wet and cold. There is a fair number of older season ticket holders not so good on their feet these days and I know a few who are worried about how they are going to make the journey tomorrow, never mind on a regular basis. With our concerns over player recruitment and recent performances, discussion over the transport has died down. But I reckon it will be a big issue over the next few months.Good luck to everyone tomorrow. Andrew Merrick 19 Posted 23/08/2025 at 21:42:28 I can associate with the older fans, I am one, and it concerns me that there is no noise at all from the club on this issue. Why aren't they all over this?EitC Do an amazing job, the new stadium has a sensory booth for autism, but no standard transport for ageing or disabled. There are many with limiting conditions who don't claim anything, don't have a blue badge, how is this being overlooked. Chris Leyland 20 Posted 23/08/2025 at 22:21:21 Andrew (19), the club are offering free transport for disabled people with or without a blue badge from Sandhills to the stadium and back after the match. You just need to register via accessibility@evertonfc.com on a game-by-game basis. It's available 3 hours before kick-off and for however long it's needed after the match. Andrew Merrick 21 Posted 23/08/2025 at 22:32:24 Thanks for sharing that, Chris. Chris Leyland 22 Posted 23/08/2025 at 22:44:21 Andrew, You can also get a wrist band to enable you to enter the stadium via special entrances and you can use lifts etc in the stadium if you need them. Again, you need to register for a wristband that you can use through the season from here:https://evertonfc.tfaforms.net/1781 Andrew Merrick 23 Posted 24/08/2025 at 11:05:15 Thanks again, Chris, I am not a season ticket holder now, but I have got a seat unique for the first night game vs West Ham. I am looking at comments on this forum to get best ideas and suggestions.I am sure that, in time, access will improve for everyone and the match day experience will be amazing.Looking forward to today's game watching from home and I hope some of the atmosphere comes across on screen, I'm sure it will. :) Ryan Holroyd 24 Posted 25/08/2025 at 21:14:47 Interesting... Thierry Henry was singing the praises of Barry tonight yet Barry was getting slated on the Live Forum yesterday. Interesting.
