Swansea City's desire to keep hold of their midfield Talisman, Gylfi Sigurdsson has been expressed by a massive valuation of the player according to reports.

Sigurdsson has been a top target of Everton's for the past year and it seemed as though the free-spending Blues might be able to prise the Icelandic star away from the Liberty Stadium this summer.

Having reportedly knocked back a £40m offer from Leicester City in recent days, Swansea have now slapped an eye-watering £50m price tag on Sigurdsson, one which you would think would deter the Toffees from pursuing him further.

Sigurdsson has apparently expressed a desire to rejoin a bigger club but is not agitating for a move and he reported for pre-season training as normal with the Swans this week.
