Birmingham eye Lennon loan deal

Harry Redknapp could offer Aaron Lennon the chance of more regular first-team foot-outball this season by taking the 30-year-old on loan for the season.

Lennon, who enjoyed perhaps his best years as a Premier League player under Redknapp at Tottenham, was on the fringes of Ronald Koeman's thinking last season before he was hospitalised for treatment for mental health issues earlier this year.

Despite being one of the few out-and-out wide players remaining in the Everton squad, his prospects for the new season don't appear to be any better at Goodison Park and a move down a tier to the Championship could be an enticing one for a player in search of action week in, week out.

The Birmingham Mail report that Birmingham City are interested in signing Lennon on loan.
