Everton are said to be in talks with PSV Eindhoven's director of football, Marcel Brands.
Both The Mirror and De Telegraaf in the Netherlands make the claim, with Brands seen by the Blues as being someone who could add a more "global dimension" to Steve Walsh's work at the club.
Brands, 54, formerly worked with Louis van Gaal as director of football at AZ Alkmaar and was reported to have been considered by Chelsea as a successor to Michael Emenalo.
