Everton have reportedly given permission to Oxford United to interview David Unsworth for their vacant managerial position.
Following rumours earlier this week that the Us were lining the former Blues caretaker boss up to become their new manager, the Liverpool Echo now claim that he has been given the green light to enter in negotiations.
Unsworth's stock has risen over the past couple of years following his success with Everton's Under-23s side, which included the Premier League 2 title last year, and his stint overseeing the first team in the wake of Ronald Koeman's sacking last October.
