Baggies declare interest in Allardyce

West Bromwich Albion have made "preliminary enquiries" about Sam Allardyce as they explore the possibility of hiring him as their new permanent manager if he leaves Everton this summer.

So claim MailSport who also say that interim boss Darren Moore, who has impressed since taking over from Alan Pardew, is also in the frame.

The Baggies are all but mathematically doomed to relegation from the Premier League following a disastrous campaign that saw Tony Pulis sacked and Pardew instated last November.

The former Crystal Palace and Newcastle boss was dismissed himself a month ago and West Brom are now looking to their next appointment, with former player and then player-coach Allardyce among the candidates.
