West Ham court Fonseca to replace Moyes
Fonseca has been strongly linked with Everton since an approach for the 45-year-old was knocked back by Shakhtar in November when the Blues were looking to replace Ronald Koeman.
His contract is up in Ukraine this summer but A Bola claim that he has bumper €9m salary package on the table to stay where he is.
The same report suggests, however, that while he has been contacted by Everton, Fonseca has not only been identified by the Hammers as their chosen successor to current boss David Moyes but that he "should commit to West Ham soon".
If true, that could suggest Everton are behind in any chase to land him or his representatives are looking for leverage in any negotiations with the Blues or, indeed, Shakhtar.
Fonseca's compatriot, Marco Silva, has also been heavily linked with the potential vacancy at Goodison Park amid reports Sam Allardyce could part company with the Blues in the coming days.
West Ham, meanwhile, have also been reported to have lined up former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their next boss.
