Given that the pair helped guide PSV Eindhoven to three league titles in four years, it's not much of a stretch to link Philip Cocu with the Everton job but Algemeen Dagblad have done just that today.
They claim that Cocu is in Brands's thinking as he weighs up whom he will choose as the Blues' next manager.
Marco Silva remains the bookies' favourite but Eddie Howe's odds have come in dramatically as oddsmakers play the market in the vacuum of any announcement from Goodison Park.
