Everton 'in talks' over £35m Carvalho switch

Everton continue to be linked with a move for Portuguese international William Carvalho, with the latest reports suggesting that he is being lined up in a £35m deal.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder has been talked about in connection with Everton routinely in recent years but nothing has ever come of the speculation.

Now, however, with his compatriot, Marco Silva, reportedly set to become the Blues' new manager, speculation has ramped up again, with A Bola going as far as to suggest that talks have already been initiated with Carvalho's representative, Pere Guardiola.

Monaco and Inter Milan are also credited with interest in a player who was an integral member of Portugal's Euro 2016-winning side while West Ham were heavily linked with him in the past year.
