Everton in pole position to land Norwich's Maddison

Everton are at the head of a queue of clubs looking to sign Norwich City midfielder, James Maddison.

According to Sky Sports, the Blues are weighing up an offer for the Canaries' player of the season who could cost between £20m and £25m.

The 21-year-old, who joined Norwich from Coventry City two years ago and who has spent loan spells back with the Sky Blues and in Scotland with Aberdeen, has rapidly emerged as one of the most promising young English players in the Championship.

The report suggests that with Norwich's parachute payments from their relegation from the Premier League in 2016 running out, they want to cash in on Maddison's rising transfer value.
