It is worth noting that we ran a similar poll in November last year asking if fans could contemplate selling Rooney for £35m. Almost the same percentage (69%) of over 1,500 fans said "no way, no how, never." At a fraction of our daily readership, 2,604 votes may not seem like a lot but it's the biggest response we have had to a poll so far.
