Following the excellent 4-0 win over Preston, Everton have been drawn at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers again in Round 3, after losing to them so badly last season.

Here is the Carabao Cup 3rd Round draw in full:

Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough

Manchester United vs Brighton

Manchester City vs Norwich City

Sunderland vs Hull City

Ipswich Town vs Arsenal

Coventry City vs Aston Villa

Bournemouth vs Lincoln City

Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea or Luton Town vs Leeds United

Millwall vs Newcastle

Fleetwood Town vs Sheffield United

Everton vs Wolves

Leyton Orient vs Bradford City

Reading vs Brentford

Peterborough United vs Barnsley

West Ham vs Fulham or AFC Wimbledon

 

Updated  Everton have confirmed the tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers will take place on Wednesday 9 September at Hill Dickinson Stadium (7:45 pm kick-off).

Bias exhibited has never been so clear and strong as in the way this draw was constructed to keep the teams in Europe apart from each other

Man U are playing Brighton - both in Europe.

That draw means that 8 Premier League teams must go out next round but could still see 12 in the last 16.

I wonder if any did or will field mostly "squad" and youngsters? If in Europe, they won't be fully serious until the quarter-finals.

What price Mr Moyes's second career trophy?

Hi Ged. There were two draws mate.

The first was for the 8 clubs in Europe to see if each one would play at home or away. 6 got a home draw. The design was that these 8 should not play each other in the third round, and that this apparently.would help them in Europe.

Then the actual draw was made but with the Euro teams already drawn to play at home by 6 and away x2.

Hope that's clear mate.

Paul G, that was the other strange thing (bent) Jermaine Beckford was choosing the either Home or Away pot of balls (red home; white away). Incredibly he put the balls back in after, into the same pot?

Surely they should have been kept out after selection (4 Red and 4 White) -- hence mostly home fixtures for the chosen few?

Those in Europe should be in an open draw, not missing each other. As non have played in Europe yet, they should have played in 2nd round

Did you know that Drogba didn’t really start scoring many till he was 26.

I have high hopes that Barry will get over 20 per season starting this or next season - he has all the raw materials.
