I would like to say a massive thank you to the 1878 group who have been responsible for the flags on display at matches as well as other fan engagement activities.
Their last display I hear is against Ipswich when they plan to have most parts of the ground adorned with flags, and they also plan a ticker-tape display from the Top Balcony and the Upper Bullens… I can’t wait to see that unfold.
They aren’t doing anything for the last game as, quite rightly, they want to watch and enjoy the game, without having to put flags out and collect them later.
I think it would be a nice touch by the club if the people who have organised the 1878 celebrations are allowed to take their applause on the pitch for the Southampton game.
