Mills back in training after almost a year out of action

Stanley Mills, the Everton Under-21s winger who suffered a serious injury out on loan at Oxford United last season, is back in training following a lengthy lay-off.

The 21-year-old tore a patella tendon playing for the League One outfit back in January but is now hoping to secure another temporary move when the transfer window opens next month.

Mills, the son of former Leeds United and Manchester City defender, Danny, played 27 times and scored once for Oxford before he was stretchered off with the serious knee injury in an FA Cup defeat to Coventry City.

A hugely promising Academy prospect, Mills has been with the Blues since joining from Leeds’s development programme seven years ago and he signed a professional contract in July 2021.
