Everton U18s 4 – 4 West Ham Utd U18s
After falling behind to the tune of 4-0 at home to West Ham in the U18 Premier League Cup Group D match at Finch Farm on Tuesday, Everton U18s staged a remarkable recovery to draw the game 4-4.
The visitors raced into a 4-0 lead inside just 25 minutes, with three of the goals coming in the space of just 5 minutes. But a brace from Justin Clarke plus goals from Braiden Graham and George Morgan secured a magnificent point for Leighton Baines’s side.
Everton got their first goal 10 minutes before half-time, with George Morgan heading home from a Kean Wren corner.
On 54 minutes, Justin Clarke headed home from George Finney’s cross at the near post. Then, when a cross fell straight to Clarke, he brought the ball down and curled it into the top corner.
The equaliser eventually came in the 86th minute. Once again, it was Finney with the cross from the right, with Braiden Graham heading home powerfully.
Everton now lead Group D on goals scored going into the final game at Nottingham Forest on Saturday 23 November.
