I was wrong…

Months ago, Lyndon and Michael were kind enough to publish an article I wrote called Back to the Future, drunk on optimism following a (then) recent four-game winning run.

It has not aged well.

We are in a greater death spiral than the one which claimed the jobs of Rafael Benitez and Frank Lampard, with arguably a worse squad, and facing another points deduction. In any case, mea culpa.

I was wrong. Sean Dyche’s job circumstances might be unkind, but his job performance in the past three months have been unforgivable.

But… we can’t afford to fire him, and there’s nobody who can fire him.
