Ukraine 0 – 3 Northern Ireland [60′]
Everton’s only representative in this game, Braiden Graham, is on the bench again, while Vitaliy Mykolenko has left the Ukraine squad after sustaining an injury and will not play for them again in the international break.
Northern Ireland took an early lead through Ciaron Brown. Then, former Everton Academy player Issac Price, who now plays for West Brom, scored a great header to put them 2 ahead after 22 minutes.
A bizarre 3rd goal for Northern Ireland was also creditted to defender Ciaron Brown, whose looping header was horribly misjudged by the Ukraine goalkeeper when he allowed it to bounce through his legs and bobble over the line.
An incrdibly wreckless two-footed lunging tackle by Sikan on McNair near the end was worthy of a red card all day long… but incredibly only a yellow — and no review from the VAR.
With this win, Northern Ireland top Group 2 in League B, but Braiden Graham is still not getting on the field when they have a very comfortable 3-0 lead.
