Cynics..... Critics... eat your ham and shut up!!
23 April 2006

Please could you either shut Mr Rob Fox up or give him a less frontal opinion column.  He is the worst and most depressive commentator I have read in my long Everton history.  It is not as bad as he says or as he makes people believe it is.  Maybe he would prefer that we sell our players, cease trading, take down Goodison brick by brick, so that Kenwright can build a 4-story mansion to live on the site where we once played.

I am 29...  Our problem is not Moyes's shortcomings as a manager nor his Catholicism, nor our financial situation, nor our lack of quality players.  It is our impending loss of Duncan Ferguson. He has been at this club since 1994...  When he leaves, where is the blood, passion, the spirit and the heartbeat of the club?  It will not be found in fan cynicism.  Who will be the man to do what he has done for us?

Weir is maybe the next longest serving player or maybe Gary Naysmith or Sandro.  That is not all bad but it is not saying much.  No-one but a Ronaldinho or a Trezeguet or an Arteta as Peter Reid (???) could replace Duncan long-term and do what Duncan has done for the club.  He is a great servant.  Perhaps Duncan could be player manager when he is 39?

We need less of people like Rob Fox contributing to the formation of opinion at our club.  There is too much good to say about this current phase.  We are the strongest club in England in terms of influence, history, tradition although maybe not in success.  It is a child's dream to play at Everton; clubs love Everton and want to play Everton in the Cup.

We are fine — relegation candidates for the next three seasons, maybe — but, as easily as we could be relegated, we could easier finish third!

It is not about opinion: it is about morale, togetherness and the players' relationship with one another. We need to get a grip of this and do it soon.  I do not think that we can do it a better way...

  • No, we shouldn't have sold Bent over his role in the disallowed goal at Villarreal;
  • No we should not sell Kilbane to the Catholic republican horde
  • We should not let Li Tie slip into the language school business,
  • Yes, we would rather Mikel Arteta marries Birgit Prinz,
  • No, Pistone would not make a better auto garage investor with bald Carsley as the mechanic because he knows how it works.....

[Gravesen ruined the poor baldy's life, probably did not know that LC has a child with special needs, while deciding to run off to play for the Harlem globetrotters, damning the Basque here to being a Spaniard in the eyes of International statistica. And we also know that not all cartoons are nice; not everything good and decent comes out of Denmark — ask Brian Boru...  Actually no, the magic mushroom IS better and more important than the shamrock, ask the incredibly maligned Welshman and he will tell you to ask a cow near Swansea the same question.... MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE....... Vikings, all is forgiven.]

Also we have the CAPTAIN of NIGERIA (no work permit problems there!) who is stalling on his contract (offered before Dinamo Bucharest) for over £2000 a week extra. which he deserves for two years or three, seeing as he is young, talented — and scored an important European goal for us!

We have the Australian here who is ever ever so heartfully inspiring and up for it; a classic roost ruler.  Hibbert, Neville, Valente... a slowly aging Beattie... Duncan is still there.... who else?

Erm...

Vidarsson (if you have not sold him yet, Davie.... HaHaHa.... Goliath: you are already on the ground bleeding...

Anichebe, Martyn — yes we also have them.  If I am correct, Chris Woods (who?) as coach, Yes, we are very influential as a club.  Who is that Islamic bloke??  Muhammad you mean... No, not him.... Leon...aaaaaahah, that's him!

So... McFadden too... he is not half bad.....  Maybe also Ferrari if he stays and if we can afford to make him a permanent fixture.  Think of it as if we were buying a very nice table when you need a table.  It is not too much about money at the end.. If they are baling out police-car minded Rover (clue Rover, clue), The Government will help Everton — if it ever comes to that.

Cures (if you think we are sick....):

  • Changing the crest?  Replacing Everton FC with EFC... because we know who we are already..... Drastically changing the crest to have the tower in the bottom right, the "wreathes" in the bottom left and top right corners, and maybe a lion or a unicorn in the top left?
  • Players?  Okay, how about Ibrahimovic who has to move from Juventus before Pavel Nedved goes and they get Rosicky (who we should not even try to afford?)
  • Or Baletezzi, also of Juventus, who is their Thomas Gravesen [well, enough to say that he has the key to lock the door and he is the zebra of the apocalypse... maybe he would be and this is Armageddon???... The great plan may not work without Baletezzi.]

It is not bad here..

I know what we are doing but sadly, Everton FC will only listen to the voices (rarely all at the same time), not all too often act on them, because I do not think that they can't???  We are the People's Club.  It is not the club's job to condone or condemn the people and their ways and everyday lives...

It IS their job to act for us. I would suggest that we enroll 20 players more into the academy per year, so that we can sell more players.

1) The Should Not Have Sold list:

  • Plessis and Bosnar,
  • Tal, Bent....and maybe some others.

These are the reasons why we get unrest in a camp.  It causes disruptions and then, like Gravesen, the Barmbys and Speeds leave the Fergusons, and the Amokachis are told that they cannot work in Britain for reasons known to only the Home Office — and are told that it is also best not to play for Celtic, because the Scots Premier is not ready for GC 28 - GR 2 aggregate season.

2) The Problems List

  • The police and Government (remember Gary Speed against Ajax???)

In the league, it seems to be only the backpass rule and Tottenham Hotspur that we have to get a hold of... Then we will be quite okay.  Alright, Moyes will... be hounded, maybe hounded out, sure.. People like Rob Fox and sure as sure is; there are other pessimists who can and do have such a bad effect.

Sacking Moyes is akin to having Tony Blair assassinated for the good of the daffodil growing industry.  Hmmmmmmm... How are we doing now?  Any questions???
