Wondered what John Ruddy and Lukasz Jutkiewicz have been up to on loan to Motherwell? Well, Ruddy just let in six goals at home to Hibs. But it's OK, they didn't lose. Jutkiewicz scored a 92nd minute equaliser as Motherwell came back from 6-2 down with 25 minutes to go to clinch a 6-6 draw. And Motherwell missed a penalty after Jutkiewicz was fouled.

Puts Motherwell in pole position for the SPL's second Europa League spot, 1 point ahead of Hibs with 1 game left, which may enhance the chances of them having the money to sign one or other of the players on a permanent basis in the summer.

I would like to see Ruddy return as I don't feel he has been given a chance. Seems unlikely now though.

I've kept an eye on these two all season. Both good players and both improving. Jutkiewicz has pace for a big fellow. Ruddy really could only have stopped one of the six goals. He does have some excellent runs of clean sheets.

Highlights below for anyone that would like to see what strike they are on about, crackin' strike if I do say so myself. Makes up for the penalty he missed in the 87th minute.

Do have to feel sorry for Ruddy as his defence left him high and dry for nearly every single gaol he conceded.

Lukas's goal was the same as Marco van Basten's in the European Championships all those years ago. Only difference was it was from the other side with his left foot. Kept flicking over from the City - Spurs game and thought they where playing first to ten.

6-2 down with 25 minutes remaining!

Great goal by Lukas and it wasn't him who missed the penalty, it was Forbes.

I have been following Lukas this season and he has been terrific and has got better as the season has gone on.

He is very strong in the air, he holds the ball up well, and is difficult to handle, imo better than Anichebe and certainly as good as the Yak, based on the Yak's recent performances. The lad will get better and the goal he scored last night was world class, not club class!! Get him back for pre-season...

I wondered how long it would be before somebody wanted Jutkiewicz back.

Most of us have scored goals playing crap opposition over the years, but it does not make you an EPL striker, does it?

Ruddy was at fault with one goal, but he did keep a clean sheet for the final 25 minutes, Jutkiewicz's goal was as good as I have seen all season.

Whether he will get a chance at Everton remains to be seen. Ruddy won't get a look in with Howard and Mucha and he would surely want to play in the SPL than Everton Reserves...

Was it last summer or the summer before when Moyes actually mentioned Lukas as a player who won't make it at Everton?

I wouldn't get too excited about him ever playing for Everton but he may well be a player we at least make some money on.

It's Motherwell's pitch Ciaran, I don't know what the heck they do to it (hold car boot sales on it or something? ;) ) but every year it is awful and every year they get criticized — the SPL/SFA have fined them for it before (well a suspended fine) — but nothing seems to get done about it.

That was a fabulous goal - I don't think it would have mattered who the opposition were. Whether he could score consistently at PL level is a different story, maybe DM and staff have a better idea of his potential after his season-long loan.

I know this was mentioned the other day somewhere but I was wondering if many people had actually seen Jutkiewicz's goal the other night?

For those who are unaware, he scored Motherwell's sixth goal in a mad six-all draw against Hibernian.

I have had the impression that the lad has got no future at Everton but what a goal! Shades of Marco Van-Basten, the commentator calls it Goal of the Season.

The van Basten soubriquet will be new to any Toffees fan who has still to see the "wundergoal" scored by your young centre forward currently on-loan to us at Motherwell.

Scottish football is regularly the butt (sometimes fair/sometimes unfair) of English jokes, but get your fingers do the walking through your keyboards and just look at this goal. IT'S MAGNIFICENT, and if Everton have a better youngster on your books than "our" Lukas, then you are VERY fortunate indeed.

Oh... and he's a quite splendid young man as well. Please leave him here for a bit longer Mr Moyes, Sir!!!
