Fixtures 2010-11

Comments (5)

Totally bored with the England players' glass limbs at the moment, so what about next season? The fixture list for the 2010-11 season is published at 9:00 am on the 17 June.

Who do ToffeeWebbers want in our first game? I am hoping for Blackpool away, and have had a bet with my lad, we get them in our first three fixtures. Also can't wait for the Goodison Derby.

With Hodgson in charge of the RS and all their decent players gone, it will be like playing Fulham at home, guaranteed 3 points !

Kevin, awesome post; however, Fulham at home is usually a hard match for us, some would say that match is our 'bogey' match.

To be honest, we should be fresh from pre-season with minimal injuries so a couple of matches against Man Utd or Chelsea or Arsenal should be good, so long as there are no transfer complications, eg, the Lescott saga.

Fulham at home in the Premier League has a 100% record; away is a different story, our first win coming with our 2-0 win with an Ossie double two seasons ago.

I will take a guess that we will play the three promoted sides within the first eight games, we always do. We get them early on when they are still playing on adrenaline and loving the Premier League.

Avoid promoted teams until 8-10 games in when their 'bounce' period has worn off.

Play someone like Wolves at home first game, get 3 points and get us on our way.

Teams likely to finish midtable at the end of the season when they have nothing to play for.

That would be nice. We always seem to get bad fixture arrangements though.

Don't managers all meet and part-agree dates for some fixtures, or have I made that up?

We always seem to be home 1st game of the season! I actually would prefer a difficult away game — with either a draw or a win to boost the confidence and then 2 winnable home games. How about Birmigham away followed by 2 home victories over Villa then Bolton. Season off to a flyer!!!

No matter how bad Liverpool get, knowing them and going on past evidence, they'll still come to Goodison, get out-played, win a last min penalty and come away with a 2-1 win.

We could be league & European champions, it wouldn't change a thing there my friend.
