Jags injury!

I really hope this rumour is completely wrong, but I have heard stories of Jags breaking down with his knee injury.

There is only two weeks to go until the season starts and we can't afford to lose one of our best players and our terrible injury curse strikes again.

I'm not sure if Heitinga is even back in training yet, he surely won't be match fit in two weeks, neither Fellaini.

We need our biggest and best defenders for the first game against an Allardyce side and desperately want a winning start.

Moyes on OS:

"Phil Jagielka might miss the game as well because he has a little bit of a problem with his knee but overall we aren't looking too bad."

Doesn't sound that serious.

Well Moyes says its possible he'll be playing tomorrow, so shouldn't be too serious.

Just hope its not a cover for the fella talking to Arsenal... that's ultra paranoid I know! I'm sure we wouldn't sell Jags for less than £25m.

Hopefully it's just a smokescreen to deter the Arse from making a serious bid.

I hope that Balloon Headed cunt Allardyce doesn't send his Blackburn cloggers out to cripple us again, never forgave that knob for his previous condoning and smiling like a cheshire cat when our players got injured. We need to come away from that game without injuries too.

Gavin @4. It will be a sad day for our game when the rules stop a big guy from using his power to combat a smaller opponents skill.
The rest is up to referee interpretation and that is where complaints should be directed.
I have no qualms with big Sam's style and often muse about how he would fare should he ever have his choice of players.
England perhaps!

Dick, the days of alehouse footie are dead and buried, yes its a mans game but having fuckwits like Nolan commit an assault on a player which if done on the street would have seen him off for a stretch in a jail cell, I can't condone. Allardyce condones dirty play and all of his limited shite sides have played the same way for decades. Allardyce was the same twat that fed the FA referees shite about Cahill before a game and lo and behold Cahill didn't get a single decision in his favour.

Gavin @ 6. I will not dispute that Nolan deserved to be hung out to dry but at the same time you cannot dispute that although with a smaller budget than David Moyes, big Sam's teams have in mid table terms consistently held their own.
As for the Cahill stuff, it worked a treat.
I well remember Sam's self satisfied grin when another blatant foul perpetrated on Tim went unpunished.
I also noted that in subsequent games our Davy also tried to pre condition referees.
I know that kind of malarky is unsportsmanlike but what's good for the goose etc.

Its a bit rich coming out against a physical approach now we finally play decent football.

Authorities govern the game... managers are free to manage (and be punished) within the rules.

Venger is on Sky today saying he is looking to sign another defender.

Did Jags play today?

Big Sam uses what is available to him and his teams play accordingly, as he can't afford more than one or two decent players the physical side of the game is prominent as is loading the box and set plays, nowt wrong with that anything illegal going unpunished is down to the refs. As they say " If your willing to let me , i'm willing to do it.
As for Jags if he's fit great if not it aint the end of the world, or anywhere as bad as last season, i'm more concerned that when Coleman was on today we where 2-0 up when Tony went to r/b and Yobo came on we lost 2 sloppy goals, alledgely those aformentioned players faults, not calling them on one game but it does appear to happen more than i'd like.

It's nothing serious with Jags.
