Mbark Boussoufa

Finally a decent rumour and one transfer that may be possible for Everton. This guy looks very good, won the Belgian player of the season a couple of times and is apparently very creative. Earmarked as the Pienaar replacement.
Yeah, people can say it is only the Belgian league, but this guy proves with all the awards he has won, he was one of the best in that league, hopefully on par with Defour and Co.
We've been linked with the other winger Legear from Anderlecht as well, so it is obvious there must have been scouts there.
Also I see Blackburn offering £500k for Seb Larsson? God squad player to say the least. We need to get in there!!

Thing is though Ben, if hes as good as you seem to think, then hes going to cost money, and we're skint, unless he comes on loan that is.
I am sure Mr Felliani will know all about him.
Boussoufa would be a decent bet, Legear is too injury prone to my knowledge. Larsson would be an ideal squad player but would he come to us knowing he couldn't get into our midfield when its fully fit? See hammill just went to wolves :(
Not surprised over the Hammill thing, you can guarantee Everton will always let you down. £500k for a player when we are potless and not even a sniff? The immediate question on Boussoufa is would he get a work permit as we usually fuck that bit up too.
Hammill is completely unproven and I bet we were never in for him.
Hammill fitted the mould for a cheap player which is all we can afford, a scouting trip to Barnsley wouldn't have cost the earth.
Just had a little look at the lad, he's smaller than Pienaar at 5' 5".
He signed a new 4yr contract last year for Anderlecht, making him the highest paid player in Belgium ( I know that doesn't mean he's on mega - bucks ) he's considered Anderlecht's key player, and their most valuable. Also Anderlecht paid 3.5m euro's for him in 2006. So taking all that into account, can you really see us having the kind of money Anderlecht will be looking for ???
Hammill may be unproven but so is Gueye and Silva. and at 500k he would've cost less than both of them at least
I love all the rumours but until i see it on the official site, with the lad behind a table with pen in hand it means diddly squatt.
I honestly believe we wont sign anyone and will flog ourselves to get to 40 points and safety, gueye and bily will play a part till may - maybe thats the new signings (like a new signing|) that everyones talking about - as for Hammill word on the street is he is fat and not all that - that coming from a Barnsley fan!
I have seen him play a few times as I live in Belgium and I have been very impressed with him every time. Very gifted technically, a great passer of the ball and his delivery from free kicks is better than anything we have seen from Arteta for years. The only draw back is his size as every time I have watched him the first thing that has sprung to mind is he is too small for the Premier league but then again Modric hasn't done too bad for Spurs and they are of a similar stature. From the Anderlecht fans i've spoken to they reckon we could get him for around 4 or 5 million which surely we could afford after selling Pienaar and getting the Yak off the wage bill.
Chris #9 sounds like bitterness to me - he looks fucking huge (not) in this compilation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-tRlIbUCL0
Ben -'God squad player to say the least'. I thought we'd just lost one of those to Spurs. Is that why we're replacing him?

Someone like N'Zogbia would have been a great signing for us to replace Pienaar, if only we'd have sold him in the summer and had the moeny there to spend. Or if we had bought him instead of Bilyaletidinov?
I've realised why our operating costs have risen so much over the past couple of years.
We send scouts to watch players over and over again so that other clubs get alerted to them and we never buy anybody.
We might as well save even more money and sack all our scouts as well.
Who said EFC are not a small club!!
Haha Guy, I'm talking about Larsson. In my opinion, he wouldn't beat Coleman into the starting line up at the moment and 500k is a good bet. At the moment, he would be a squad player.
Boussoufa would be the replacement for me unless someone can think better.
He's also said he would consider us which got me thinking this is the only rumour so far where the player has commented on being interested in Everton

I am Moroccan, and I know Boussoufa maybe more than everyone here, He s great player, skillful, scoring goals with both feet, more assists and free kicks goals, you can only see his archive rewards in Belgium :

Belgian Footballer of the Year: 3
2005-2006, 2008-2009, 2009-2010

PL Is not something new for him, he already played with Chelsea.
He is good option and I hope to see him playing for Everton. you will never regret having him.
gd luck
Think Boussoufa would be good, but can't believe we have required funds.
Strong rumour today that we have taken another yound defender on today: Eric Dier from sporting Lisbon. A cultured young CB able to play across the back 4. Heard it here first!
I hope with all those gongs to his name the cheeky get doesnt want paying in actual MONEY. Blood brothers comps all day but £££ , no.
Sporting Lisbon claim their young 19 yr old centre half Dier is coming to us on loan, it`s starting to look like Duffy is not rated by Moyes if this is the case.
Sam that rumour is about a week old and he's a Man U fan, check out his picture with Beckham when he was about ten
Yeah, not a rumour anymore. Does actually say so on the Sporting Lisbon website. I guess another propsect and more cover but not what we need
We don't need another bleeding defender, fucking hell its Walter Smith all over again
Evertons policy og buying younger decent players who are hungry to succeed is encouraging, with the odd honourable exception being Distin.
However its is a bit of a gamble picking players from onferior leagues and expecting them to fil in voids left by established departees.
Signed Eric Dier on loan untill end of season. Sky Sports News.
Confirmation of Eric Dier here:

Is this a sign that Jagielka is about to be shipped out to Arsenal? Also Heitinga has come out and sworn his allegiance to the Evertonian cause this week.
Distin and Heitinga as first choice centre backs. Cover in the shape of Duffy, Dier, (Neville and Hibbert at a push).
With the money generated from Jags (and possibly Yobo) we might have enough for a striker and winger too!
I like Jagielka but don't think he's as good as Heitinga and we know Davie is reluctant to play Heitinga and Jags together. So hard to keep 3 top centre backs happy.
@Ben - The lad's only 17 years old with no first team experience at all, not even in Portugal where he still plays for the youth team, so I doubt he'll be replacing anyone unless shit hot and mature beyond his years
It does seem a strange one but I can only imagine his desire to be noticed by the FA is strong and this is why he wants to play in England. The idiots at the FA have never bothered to select him for any youth England teams.
Sky Sports waved their finger in the air to see which way the wind was blowing then gave him scores out of 10 in a scout report last year. Results are here:
http://www.skysports.com/football/transfers/scout/0,24035,15198_6091891,00.html
I hope this is a sign of some creative financing by Everton. This guy is supposed to be very promising, we get to see him on loan for six months, as Moyes did with the likes of Arteta and Pienaar. It is nothing against Jagielka but I hope this does mean we are selling him to Arsenal for a decent price. We need the money and we have quality central defenders without him, and a couple promising youngsters coming through. It gives us some money to bring in players in more needed positions. And lets face it, if Jagielka does go to Arsenal he won't be too upset either. Could be interesting.
Glen admittedly the Daily Bigot report but does make you wonder when Umbro selected him for one of their Engerland faces the FA haven't bothered their arse to contact him
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1318330/Eric-Dier-rising-star-Sporting-Lisbon--havent-FA-touch.html
He's just a kid, 17.
PR exercise only, will spend rest of the season on bench/reserves.
We need proper squad players, right now, to replace the proper squad players we've just lost (yak, piennar, vaughan).
Oh let me guess - anichebe and coleman signing new contracts are actually two new signings...
Where's all this b*ll*cks about Jagielka coming from.
He's been by far our best player ever since he found his vocation at centre half and is now almost an England regular.
Can't believe the people advocating 'selling him to Arsenal (or whoever), for £15m...' How ridiculous.
David Booth, have you watched Jags this year because for me he has been awfull most of the year, Id much rather have Heitinga alongside our player of the seaon so far in Distin.
Andy Codling,
You're right in one respect, Andy, Jags hasn't had a good season but I think he'll regain his form soon enough. Like Arteta and the Yak, he had a bad injury and there have been loads of people excusing those two (rightly) for taking time to regain their touch. And thoogh Distin has been outstanding he's what,33, 34? Selling Jags would be a stupid mistake.
Jags last ditch tackles look good, if he was a topclass defender he wouldn't need to make so many last ditch tackles. I'd sell him to strengthen other areas.
Anyone thinking of selling Jags has a very short memory It makes me laugh when most of you bang on about players not being loyal and yet half the posts on here are about selling for a crappy profit simply because he is off the pace following a bad injury. Give the lad some support and give yourself a talking too !
The official site has just release the news as "Teenager joins Academy" [ http://bit.ly/faF35e ] so I doubt he's coming in as direct replacement or even potential cover for a first team player.
Looks like Moyes will use six months to run the rule over him and decide whether to splash any of his 50 pence Summer transfer kitty on him.
Firstly selling Jags would be sending out the signs that we really are bankrupt and heading in one direction. He hasnt had a great season but who has and he has been carrying injuries in quite a few games so it's not right to judge him.
Secondly Dier is contracted to Sporting until 2014 so forget any notions of signing him. I really cant understand the logic of taking him on loan for 6 months when we have Duffy.
What a pointless transfer. A youngster who won't even make the bench, in a position that we are covered and its only on loan. It boggles the mind. Meanwhile, as per usual any tom, dick and fuckin harry we were linked with has joined someone else i.e. Wheater to Bolton and Hammill to Wolves.
We need some strikers and attacking/creative midfielders. We have falled so far behind so many teams in terms of purchasing power and transfer dealings. Even fuckin Stoke snapped up Carew on loan - a trouble maker apparantly but no doubt a great talents in the right hands. Next transfer out will probably be cahill and we'll sign dean windass on loan...or something ridiculous like that.
A sign of how far we have fallen is that even the transfer rumours are now second rate!
no way should we sell Jagielka just because Heitinger played a couple of games he has been crap since he came back from the world cup
Seen some highlights on Youtube. He looks skillful, so no doubt Moyes will make him supress any skillful or creative urges he has and concentrate on winning the ball back and defending well.
I really don't know why everyone's clambering for a Pienaar replacement when we have Bily waiting in the wings, who as someone mentioned about ''If' given a run of games could really adapt to the league. He's got a cracking left foot, bags of skill, quick with the ball at his feet...but how would you feel if you were playing every Russian international game and then losing your place (i.e. the derby) to Osman, who is clearly incapable of playing out wide. No wonder the lad looks disillusioned when he comes on, he's hasn't had the chance to slot into the system that we deploy. Moyes paid 9million for this guy, now give him a string of games and lets see what he can do..if we can't afford anyone else we've got nothing to lose.
Let's see if DM gets a penny to spend or it all disappears into Billy Bullshitters black hole.
Pravda has 30 players listed under our squad, two in Yakubu and Yobo may as well be deleted as they aren't coming back. Two of the defenders can't get a game in Duffy and Mustafi. Two midfielders wont get a game in Barkley and Wallace. Four of the strikers wont get a game in Gueye, Baxter, Agard and Silva plus Vaughan is unlikely to get a game as Moyes cant wait to get him out on loan and sold if possible. So from the so called squad of 30 you may as well write off 11 of those players, I'm being kind leaving Bily in and Saha can't guarantee playing more than two games on the trot.
Oh well if were thinking of Pienaar replacements (realistic of course) I would throw Steven Naismith into the fold. Watched him against Man Utd and was impressed by his work rate. How much would he cost, anyone?
The problem is James, for some reason Moyes doesn't fancy Bily, and as long as Osman stays fit, its going to be Osman over Bily every time.
David Holroyd
Yeah Heitinga hasnt played well, but then hes been played out of position, which tends to be the norm where Moyes has anything to do with it, after all it took Moyes over a year to suss where to play Fellaini.
It took him a year to realise Coleman could fit in at right wing, he still plays Osman out of position, he plays Rodwell right wing ffs, he sends out a centre half on loan and then gets caught short and plays a right back at centre half, he bought a central midfielder in Billy ... to play on the wing.
Im not saying sell Jags but the fact is he has been woefull and I wonder how he gets international games
Eric Dier is 17 (born 15 Jan 1994). Is he really going to play for the first team?
Boussoufa wont be only Pina replacement but a good addition to the squad, I am sure he will give more than what Pina did.
Gavin, looked a tad silly there didn't you?
Not sure total point of this lad coming over, perhaps we get first option on him (not that we'd be able to afford him anyway). At the very least it can't hurt to build ties with sporting lisbon who have a pretty decent record of producing handy footballers.
James #42. Hear Hear. I can't for the life of me understand why Bily does'nt get a decent run.maybe he will now. He has bags of skill and passes to his own players and he can score goals with his left foot. He certainly has more going for him than Ossie. My only reservation is that he does'nt appear to be very physical but hey that's no reason not to play him.
Look lads, Anderlecht paid 3.5m euros for him in 2006, he has just signed a four year contract last season, and is their star player, do any of you seriously think Anderlecht are going to let him go for buttons?
Sam, how the fuck is that looking silly, if you are too gormless to realise a publicity stunt I've got some magic beans you might be interested in. Ties with Sporting Anyone are useless unless you've got the cash to follow up those bridges with, do you think another team is just going to give us their players for nothing?
Now about those beans..........
