The Moyes Family Business and Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam, the in-demand Glaswegian midfielder currently putting the Bloom into the Bloomfield Roaders, has a not-so indirect link with Everton. His agent is Kenny Moyes, brother of our manager and son of one of our Scouts - yes David Moyes senior is not just making up the numbers in the front row seats.

And David Senior is no slouch. He scouted Joleon Lescott and Phil Jagielka and is often seen in the ear of his second-born.

So, should we be bothered? Well, we should certainly debate it. If the manager, his brother and his Pa are all involved in the business of football surely that is something we should feel queazy about. It is not hard to imagine the Everton manager getting a call from his agent brother saying, 'Hey, Davie, put in a word about one of my players would ye?'

Now if it worked the other way I would not be too concerned. 'Hey, Davie, I've a wonder-kid here I'm putting your way.'

But the idea that a brother of an Everton manager should be involved in arranging a classy player join our fiercest rivals leaves me feeling downright disappointed.

Can any of us imagine ? if he had one ? Howard Kendall's brother arranging a player, say Ian Snodin, to join Liverpool? Or Joe Royle's kith-and-kin smoothing the wrinkles on a deal to get Kanchelskis to Anfield?

Dear Reader, I think not.

Charlie Adam is as slow as a carthorse.Blackpool is as good as he is. He's no better than what we have and,frankly, the £500k that Blackpool paid for him is just about what he's worth. He's Andy Reid's twin brother.

I heard Holloway on the telly the other day saying Adams was worth 46million and was only going to join a top 4 side..
He's starting to get ahead of himself is Mr Holloway.

Oliver, Holloway also said they might put a loan bid in for the homesick Tevez because Blackpool is closer to Argentina than Manchester! He doesnt actualy think Adam is worth £46m clearly, and knows his true value is 1% of that but quite righly is trying to get as much as he can for him which has been successful based on the villa bids of £3m then £3.5m and the shites bid of £4.5 last night all rejected The sad and scary fact of it is carthorse or not, we couldnt afford him anyway.

Oliver he said that amount, in relation to Blackpool staying up (with the extra money) he's worth 46million to them. It don't ,atter any how we can't afford him for even 2 million, Blackpool are above us in the league, why would he want to come anyway.

Your off the mark guys. Adam is the inspiration at Blackpool unlike blue eyed boy Osman is at Goodison.
Can we not make an exchange for Charlies sake plus maybe some cash?
We are just plodding along as usual with poor displays against the other poor teams in the division.
New blood is needed and Moyes doesn't seem to want to use what he has so why not trade.

Moyes done the same when he said L£$COTT was worth £24m. We got lucky there were some mugs in Manchester ready to pay it.

Ged, I thought that was a strange one ,He scouted Lescott and Jags, its not as if the 2 of them were unknows.
Jags had already played in the prem, and there was a few prem clubs sniffing round Lescott.

Neil, I couldn't agree more. I could not believe the negative mind numbing tactics or lack there of today. It was fucking embarrassing to be nailed to the wall against a very ordinary and poor West Ham side who are struggling really very badly defensively.

Even you said it can work positively. At least he can trust tghe pair of them.

You could just as easily argue, what if a scout that wasn't related to Moyes took a backhander to push a player to us that wasn't any good? That's more likely than his own family stitching him up.

If Liverpool end up with Charlie Adam it'll just be another indicator of how far they have fallen going from Alonso and Mascherano to Adam and Poulsen in 18 months.

Get Adam in now! The lad is class and we must have a great chance to nab him just one problem weve got no money! Didnt Joe Royle try and point Darren Bent in our direction when he was at ipswich? Our club is up the creek without a paddle!!

Ped.have to disgaree about Osman, until he came off the wing he was gash today, first half when he came off the wing Anichebe went on it trying to cross to a striker that wasn't there because it was trying to cross to himself. It's not Osman's fault, it Moyes, how many years before the penny finally drops that Osman is a central midfielder? Fellaini definitely MoTM, and must have covered every blade of grass today and performed most positions besides keeper too.

Blah blah fooking blah. The tactics were fine today it was the useless feckers in the middle that were the problem. Actually Moyes should be criticised for not subbing Arteta, because he was absolutely fecking useless today.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Moyes' brother's occupation or David Moyes senior being used as a scout.

As for Adam, he's doing well this season in a team of no bigger players for a manager who likes to play 4-4-2 attacking football on the deck. That's his level. I think Holloway's comment was that he would be worth £46m to the club as without him they may not stay in the Premier league and that's how much staying in the Prem is worth to Blackpool.

Tony you sound as useful as the old prick that came and sat in front of me in the Park End today, complaining before the second half began telling me to shut up and shout for the team and asking who I was. I asked him the same as the soft cunt had borrowed the ticket and explained mine was a season ticket held for years expanding that if his stand seat was so good to go and fuck off back to it or better still to go and sit next to Kenwright if he thought everything was rosy. Do you know what happened to the fella? He walked out before we scored either goal, so for all his head burying bullshit he walked. I didn't, despite the dross on show, did his positive thinking from afar change the game?

See Tony, some people have paid good money to watch that shite, have for years, some might even go so far as to remark that gives them every fucking right to comment on how they see it whether or not you agree is your call but blah blah makes you sound like a two year old. Moyes made some basic mistakes again today Tony:

Osman isnt a winger
Anichebe isn't a striker thats going to give you goals when your best partnership of remaining strikers is Saha and Beckford
Arteta needs dropping (we agree)
Is Gueye that bad a winger compared to Osman he shouldn't play and if so why is he still here?

My MoTM Fellaini but I suspect that if Picquionne hadn't been sent off then he wouldn't have found the space for the equaliser so a very very lucky draw against a shite West Ham side that for long spells today outplayed us all over the pitch.

This squad won't get relegated this season ( I hope ) but the future looks bleak... and I think Davie knows it.
